I dont understand how those places collect bad debts - Guy comes in asks for $400, never comes back. What then? Cant exactly break people's knee caps these days, especially if he's an illegal and you don't even know where the guy lives.

Do they just figure enough people will come back, so if they're charging 10% they can afford to have 1 out of 11 not come back?

I would get many people in my bar that worked labor pool and would cash their checks and just keep whatever change was coming like if the check was for $52.35, I keep the $.35. It did wonders for my business because it would suck the guys into having a few pops everyday after work. I never once felt bad about doing that.

That's why Vegas casinos love to cash paychecks especially on Friday. Get the guy in there with cash in hand give him a buffet drink or something and you can win the whole check many times.

When I first starting managing my own 401k, I didn't care, but now I actively avoid buying stocks of companies I have moral objections to like Monsanto, Philip Morris, Altria, Halliburton, etc.

What is your issue with Halliburton

There can be fees for that, BOA charges $5 to cash their own checks if you don't have an account and fingerprints you....not cool if you are an alien, fugitive,etc.

Cannot believe people actually do business with them. They are awful on every level.

Payday Loan places are the most predatory lenders out there. Thankfully a number of states have flat out made them illegal so if places provide loans to such individuals, they are not legally required to pay them back regardless of the amount of threats these companies make to desperate people.

Oh, typical Liberal reasons. Like how they profited an obscene amount of money on the Iraq war, their association with who I believe to be one of the most evil men ever to hold high office, their role in the Gulf oil spill, etc.
