Yeah he juiced but he knows he'll get away with it for the most part so screw it, it doesn't matter. Cheating has become part of sports.

I think he may have used in '99, though the evidence would be thrown out in any court of law. Whoever leaked the info that let the sample be matched up with an actual racer already broke the rule of confidentiality that was supposedly used when they froze these 7 year old samples in the first place, so why wouldn't that person, and the others involved, go further and actually tamper with the stuff.

However...

Have you noticed how in Lance's denials he very carefully uses the same phrase over and over "I never used performance enhancing drugs." It leads him with the out that he does not consider the drug that was identified as really "performance enhancing" in his opinion, or that he used it for reasons other than performance enhancing. It reminds me of Pres Clinton, and his famous answer "It depends on what the defenition of "is" is."

Lance is correct that it would probably cost him a lot of money (Not sure if it would be the $1.5 million he estimates, but it would be significant). Maybe the Tabloid should offer to cover the expense of defending himself, and see if Armstrong still decides not to fight it.
But would the annonomous sources that leaked this info ever really identify themselves? And if not, why are all those Frenchman accepting this tabloid stuff as true?

I really hope he didn't ... since his story was probably the best story of courage and determination in sports since Jackie Robinson. But I must say that I am a bit skeptical...probably because what he has accomplished is so unbelievable. ANyways, innocent until proven guilty...lets see how it plays out.

The worst fact for him is most obvious. He did use EPO and admitted it while he was recovering from cancer. He said that in '96 and 97 I believe he used it. He said he stopped using it and it would've cleared his blood within a month, so its not leftovers testing positive....The experience of taking while getting better I'm sure influenced him to use it after that. C'mon, I watched the interview on CNN and he just didn't seem innocent to me. Choice of words, mannerisms, no different than the fools at the baseball inquiries.

Matter of fact, Sammy sosa and mcguire total dope tests do not even equal half the tests Armstrong went through!!!!

I only deal in facts, not innuendo and sure as hell not some flimsy retest of a b sample from 99!!!

Are you kidding me? from 1999???

The number of positives that McGuire and Sosa got does not equal the number of positives that Lance got either.

A FLIMSY retest? It was a REAL test. Its just that there was no 2nd sample to back up/verify the results of the first test - SO HE'S GUILTY- there is still reasonable doubt, but he used.

The bottom line is that in 1999, EVERYONE used that shit - so it was an even playing field. That being said, I think cyclists shouldn't even be allowed on sports pages.

Interesting point. I totally agree. He does seem a little too rehearsed and careful in his denials. I really hate to quote T.O., but like my boy always told me, if it looks like a duck, and it walks like a duck, by golly it's a duck. No concrete proof yet though....

I'd say about 97% chance that he juiced. But I'd say all of his competitors juiced too - so all things being equal, he was still the best cycler in the world.
