I usually sell my PC's once every couple of years and get some person to pay a decent amount for the used one then add a bit more and get a new one.

i think its much smarter than paying good money for an upgrade in software or in parts

You should always remove the hard drive before doing something like this, and I always drill a hole through old hard drives to render them unreadable (at least without a ton of effort, forensic analysis etc).

its easier to use something like DBAN and just wipe them out up to military standards

another thing is, no harddrive= less value paid to you (I imagine)

nearly a week, nearly a week for it to get back...kind of long, but that is the fault of UPS, that's Nv to CT.

My unit arrived there ( Sparks,NV) this morning, so it will be evaluated soon, and if they need to adjust the offer, I'll know soon.
