Disturbing- I've seen at least four thread titles edited by mods the past few days

I told you 3 times in this thread he was never going to be banned...One poster chimes in saying he had inside information that he was, and I am well aware of why he says that...Chuck was never banned, nor was he close to being banned...there really isn't anything else to it.

Personally I like Chuck's insight , as well as yours, just get tired of saying the same thing.

BTW -there were more than one poster attacking Fishhead.

Actually I thought this was a very good thread that touched on a number of different subjects. First, why the deletes, and wil did his best to handle that. Then the ramifications to posters that complain about an advertiser. Ala Chuck. Then, back to the basics, why it is important to share experiences, not heresay, with other posters, contributed by Clip. You all seem ultrasensitive to this subject/thread. A forum is a place for discussion, nothing more. I am sorry you had to repeat yourself over and over and this upsets you. I won't ask again. Also, I had no idea Fish took any heat from any posters over the BCN debacle. I thought that heat was generated from conflict of interest getting bonuses from advertisers when players signed up? That is not even in the same realm of this discussion. Either way, I will leave this obviously touchy subject alone. However, contrasting views and legit experiences are what make the RX tops. Do not lose sight of that.

As an offshore insider, i know for a 1000% fact that the mods are not told to be subjective when it comes to offshore sportsbooks. I am friendly with many of the books, and I can think of many situations where friends have asked for stuff to be moved, deleted, etc., and it didn't happen. I think these guys are a lot more objective that most of the people here know. I also know for a fact that most of the mods have enough character and pride that they would tell the books/owners to take a hike if they were told that they have to give preferencial treatment. The vast majority of mods that I have met, have a high moral and ethical code? Take Dante for example. It is known that he makes good money for himself in his own business. Do you think he would be around if he had people in his ear slanting his posts? No chance in hell. this also applies to 99% of the others IMO. OF , I have always been one of your huge supporters, but you are not looking at both sides here.

I am being objective, and know it is a thankless task for the mods. But at the same time I appreciate they are the zookeepers, and must keep the wild beasts seperated or they will fight and attack. I was offered a mod job, here and there. No thanks. I just do not want to see this place get ruined by partisan allowanaces. I am already a distrustful FROG. (Required third party reference) But over the years I have always respected the mods who spoke on thier own behalf. When is this freakin Kings line going up. I have all this 210 over and am getting nervous. In semiGods we trust?

Flounder---As a mod and working with ALL the mods here very, very closely on a day to day basis and speaking with them OFTEN via phone and/or IM and having met them all other than JMAN in person...............................you should have no qualms with any of them.

Put it this way, if I ever retired my position as a MOD here, they ALL would be the first people I would turn to regarding most offshore topics, personal problems, etc., etc...................as I have tremendous respect for all of them and they have never given me any reason to think otherwise.

The guy i dealt with at hollywood was an asshole supervisor named pj . Hollywood I think is a great book otherwise and the service i got from everyone else their was great but I will remember how I was treated by this guy.

Someone else mentioned it but with this site breaking their own records for attendance you have to believe things are in good hands overall. Clearly one of the top moderating teams from top to bottom I have ever seen. I will say though that you should never quit listening to your posters. I was there, it's easy to say but often hard to do, you always get the feeling they are just busting your chops and easy to lose sight of the message. In the long run though you are better off taking input from the posters, even if you don't always agree it's worth noting what they have to say. Sure you will get your out and out ballbusters who are just stirring the pot but you will also get some genuine feedback from your readers. That is the kind of stuff many businesses will pay top dollar to get.

On this issue of editing threads/posts I personally haven't noticed it going on but the fact others have is something to keep in mind for the future. Perception of an issue is often more important than reality. With the owners here it is probably a good idea to continue making it clear to the readers that your loyalties are with the players/posters and not with the books. I think any of the many ever assisted by the RX would tell you they have no doubts but it's not something you want to be questioned by the masses. If some believe you are showing too much favoritism it's something to consider. Tough line to walk because the books pay the salaries and many of them are very sensitive about these forums, I know, believe me I know. On the other hand most of this stuff means very little except to the person or book being criticized, no one is going to quit playing at Olympic because someone says their customer service sucked donkey balls last weekend.

I guess what I am saying is I don't think it's a problem but I would still reserve editing and/or changing posts to only the bare minimums, blatant lies and so on. Just the accussation of showing favoritism to the books (and having others start to believe it) is possibly going to cause more damage then any gains recieved by changing posts around that are not complimentary to them. Again, I'm not around as much as I was but never noticed it being any sort of a problem here, I'm just playing Devil's advocate a little bit. I doubt JC, Chuck, Clip and some of the others who are mentioning this are just doing it for the hell of it. Might be worth taking a look at down the road or at least having it in the back of your minds, nothing wrong with feedback from your readers if it helps makes this an even better place for us all. Keep up the good work gang.

I edited the title to simply Bodog and the thread stood Offshore for two days before it faded back to page two.

Could you tell me what the new title of the thread is? I was looking for it but couldn't find it. I think this all started with a post that I made on another forum. I got a call from Bodog today, but I was in a meeting. I have a feeling that they aren't too happy about this whole thing. We're going to have a phone conversation in about an hour.
