Remember, the thread is lock HOF right now. Not at the end of the career....right now. Kobe is the greatest NBA player that came directly from HS to the NBA with Lebron and Garnett being second/third. Why do you think Lebron was better in HS? Because ESPN hyped him up beyond belief.

Because he was National player of the year twice. Mamba once.

If the Mamba was as good as you say coming out of school, he would gone in the top 5.

Again, think you're confused as to what I'm saying. As of right now at this point in time in the NBA Kobe Bryant is the greatest player to ever play that came directly from High School and Lebron is not close to Kobe. Kobe is a sure-fire HOF player with many NBA rings. Lebron has no rings. Puts up points but is not a champion. I could care less what they did when they played in High School.

I'm not talking 7 years. I'm talking a career. That's what the thread is based on. If Lebron gets a career-ending injury right now he's not in the HOF IMO.

Look where he already is on the all-time scoring list. If he stops playing today, he goes to Springfield.

I thought you reffering to what they did in HS.

Agree on Mamba being better than LBJ.

The guy who said no to Nash is nuts, he's in for sure.

I think that if Lebron were to retire on his own tomorrow, he might be questionable. But if he were to suffer a career ending injury, he would probably get in on reputation alone.

I'm surprised no one mentionned Tony Parker. 3 Championships, NBA Finals MVP, 3 all-star games, very good career stats. And he's only 28. I think he would get in.

I would say no way to Manu but this isn't the NBA Hall of Fame - if the Spurs were to win and he'd likely be the finals MVP he has a good chance if u remember what he's done for Argentina
