Longevity is what it is , not remarkable

Has he ever led the NL for a year in anything important ?

HRS
RBIS
HITS
RUNS
AVG.
OBP
SLP
SB
BB

Has he ever been in the top 5 in MVP voting for a year ?

If you can't answer yes to even 1 of these ?'s this thread should close due to a lack of adequate support and hopefully this subject won't be brought up again.

over 6 years later and having to shut this argument down again

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

You stated if one cant answer yes to at least one this thread should be closed.................well, yes can be answered to more than one

He led the league in runs twice.
He led the league in SB once
He finished top 5 in MVP twice

..........and for the record, he also won four gold gloves.

Biggio will eventually land in the HOF, and rightfully so.

You posed the question, I answered.

Yes, looking at his entire career accomlishments, he is very well deserving of the HOF

Great ballplayer, and one who gave 100%

.........and longevity and staying healthy should be looked upon as a positive, not negative.

Just because a player doesn't meet a HOF criteria, that shouldn't be viewed as a failure or should be a negative impact on there accomplishments.. Biggio wasn't great IMO, he was a very good player.. big difference when weighing a HOF bid.. I realize he will get in, but I wouldn't vote him in
