Ah, welcome to this argument again! Unlike the last thread I started however, I got to watch this gm in its entirety (my GOY). One big reason I liked the NYG so much here was Campbell. Sure, he's serviceable, but that's just the problem. He can not lead this team to victory when the run gm shuts down, or the "D" has trouble. And isn't that what you want from your QB? There wasn't much dropped passes, in fact Eli had to suffer way more of that today than Campbell (Eli's INT was a ball that went right thru WR's hands). Speaking of INT's, my god, how lucky is Campbell to have only 1 today? NYG dropped 3 would-be INT's, and had another called back due to a terrible defensive penalty. So Campbell may have had 5 picks. And I heard the argument brought up that WAS is not blocking for him. With NYG focusing more on the run today, I felt Campbell had really good time to pass. There wasn't a lot of batted balls, or hurries, and NY got 2 of their 4 sacks in the 4th when the gm was pretty much done. Anyway, to only give up 4 sacks to the Giants is impressive for a "has-been" oline.
The main pt here is Campbell by no means was the reason WAS lost today. But he sure isn't helping them win either. This sucks for WAS fans because there's 2 very able, passing QB's on the bench.
