Arkansas - The Razorbacks are scheduled to kickoff the season against Georgia on
September 26, and ESPN only gives the Hogs an 8.8 percent chance to win the game.
Futhermore, the FPI predicts the Hogs will finish with a 2-8 record during the 10 game
conference only schedule. The schedule is brutal and one SEC coach (anonymous)
pointed out the program is a mess from top to bottom. ESPN predicts two wins for
Arkansas...I'd like to know who those two wins are against. I'm not sure they will win
a game this season.

Betonline has Arkansas's win total at 2.5. It's interesting to note Arkansas has played
'Under' their season win total in six of the last seven years.

Right now I can't see Arkansas hanging with Georgia. A game to watch is Kentucky at Auburn...beware of the Cats.

^ I LOVE betting on G5 conferences on Saturdays when there are 40-50 P5 games going on. Those "smaller school" games kinda get lost in the shuffle and you can find some lines that are WAY off.

Cracks me up when there is a STUD SEC game on at 330 on CBS and i'm too busy watching a CUSA game with HORRIBLE production (not even a yellow line first down marker) as i have a big play on the 7th best school in a certain state.

With not too many games, its going to be hard to find value on these smaller school games.

Kentucky - Mark Stoops is still waiting to learn if a key transfer will be eligible to play
this fall. UK has filed the paperwork for former Auburn quarterback Joey Gatewood's
application for a transfer wavier to allow him to play this fall, but the school has yet
to hear back from the NCAA on the final ruling. Gatewood lost the Auburn starting job
to freshman Bo Nix. He appeared in seven games as Nix's backup during 2019. The
6-5, 225 pound Gatewood was a four-star recruit out of Jacksonville, Florida. It would
be a big plus for the Wildcats if Gatewood is allowed to play. By the way, Kentucky plays
Auburn in the first game this season as a dog of around 7.5 points. Keep an eye on the
Gatewood situation.

Coaches Poll - After the AP Top 25 Preseason Poll was released to include teams that
aren't playing this fall, it was announced the coaches poll will only include votes from
schools playing this fall. Coaches who vote in the poll from teams in the Big 10, Pac 12,
Mid-American and Mountain West and four other schools will not take part this year.
Sixty-five coaches voted in the preseason coaches poll. Now, there will be 42 coaches
voting this season. Some think a coach not playing would have more time to be able
to watch games he normally wouldn't see and would be more objective not worrying
how voting for a team would directly impact his own team. It is well known that most
of the coaches who vote pass the responsibility to someone in the department.

Recruiting - Alabama has overtaken Ohio State for the number one spot in the
recruiting wars. Saban now has 19 commits with 4 being 5-stars. Listed below
are the top-10 ranked recruiting schools.

1. Alabama 2. Ohio State 3. Clemson 4. Oregon 5. Florida 6. Tennessee
7. LSU 8. Southern Cal 9. Michigan 10. Miami

I'm very impressed with Oregon's Mario Chistobal. He learned well under
Saban as an Alabama assistant. I don't believe there's any doubt he will be
an SEC head coach in the near future.

Sportsline has offered odds on the SEC Week 1 games Sept. 26th.

Vanderbilt
Texas A&M - 28.5

Georgia - 24
Arkansas

Florida -10.5
Ole Miss

Alabama -21.5
Missouri

Mississippi St.
LSU - 18.5

Tennessee -1
South Carolina

Kentucky
Auburn NL

Any stand out to you?

Florida should really impose their will on ole miss, like Mullen to have his team ready and trask should really turn some heads if he didn't last season.

Alabama could very well shut out mizzou with their lack of offense n kelly bryant played decent last year for what he had around him. Moses should be a good general this year. Seemed like bama didnt know what defense they were in until the ball was snapped with the true freshman last season. McMillan should also help out at linebacker and the dline seems solid year in n year out. Secondary needs to step up.

Now, consider what they bring to the table on offense. Skilled positions and line should be stellar and qb shouldnt be anything close to a problem they should cover that number easily

Odds To Win ACC

Clemson -350 Notre Dame +500 Miami +1600 North Carolina +1600
Florida State +2000 Pittsburgh +4000 Virginia Tech +4000 Louisville +5000
NC State. +10,000 Boston College +25,000 Duke +25,000 Georgia Tech +25,000
Syracuse +25,000 Syracuse +25,000 Wake Forest +25,000 Virginia +25,000

Anyone surprised Clemson is the favorite to win the Atlantic Coast Conference. The
Tigers are a perfect 16-0 in ACC play over the last two years. They've lost just two
conference games over the previous five years. They've lost just two conference games
over the previous five years, which includes four trips to the national championship
and winning it twice. Clemson enters the season with an active winning streak against
every team on its 2020 schedule. Wake Forest (11), Virginia (4), Miami (2), Georgia
Tech (5), Syracuse (2), Boston College (9), Notre Dame (3), Florida State (5), Pitt (1)
and Virginia Tech (5).

Still wondering if he'll ever make it back to Miami?

His name is always mentioned the 14 different times the canes have been looking for a head coach in this past decade. I wonder if $$$ is the main reason why he hasnt returned (yet)?

I wonder if there is a Clemson vs the Field bet?

Lets say for some reason Lawrence decides not to play. Even after a few weeks.

If that happens, would Clemson still be the best bet?

Just curious what people think (no right or wrong answer)

^ The only way Lawrence won't play is to get injured. He's chomping at the bit
to get started.

Clemson signed the No. 1 rated QB (PJ Uiagaleiei) in the nation and he's on campus
backing up Lawrence. 6-5, 245 lb. five-star out of California

Oregon to Miami is a step down with job hierarchy
