Bet you didn't know......

.......Since 2012, TCU is 45-58 ATS and 10-20 ATS as an underdog, but has turned out
22 players for the NFL draft, including 5 first rounders. Just saying.......

ACC schedule just came out this morning as well

Seems like each team scheduled 1 out of conference home game.

Clemson and UNC have not announced their opponent yet.

Funny how UCF scheduled a home and home vs UNC and BOTH of those matchups were cancelled.
UCF also scheduled a home and home vs GT as well. The Orlando game was cancelled but luckily GT kept UCF on the schedule this season

L5Y, USC is 4-0 vs SEC, outscoring them 167-48!!!

Alabama - Bama has given offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian a new contract
that will pay him $2.5 million a year. He made $1.65 million last season. The new
deal ties Sarkisian with the highest annual salary for a college football assistant with
Auburn's defense coordinator Kevin Steele. Sarkisian has done an excellent job at
Alabama but this increase...especially at this time is ridiculous. Coaches at major
universities are taking pay cuts with budgets under duress and Alabama gives a coach
a million dollar raise. Doesn't make sense to me.

2.5 for running a bad offense? Is Saban smoking meth now? They would have been better off taking the $ and paying the players on the books instead of under the table like they have been.

Saban can get someone for less to do the same. They out talented almost every defense they played. You could have ran their offense well with your knowledge of the game and I mean that as a compliment. Plenty of these players paid while playing. The dumb ones get caught.

Good luck with your bets this season.

Comparing the two highest paid assistant coaches ($2.5 m) to Pac 12 head coaches
2019 salaries. Do I think the two assistants are good coaches? Yes. Do I believe their
salaries are way out of line for assistant coaches? Yes.

Jonathan Smith - Oregon State ($1.9 million)
Kevin Sumlin - Arizona ($2.0)
Herm Edwards - Arizona State ($2.38)
Mel Tucker - Colorado ($2.4) now coach at Michigan State
Mario Christobal - Oregon ($2.6)
Justin Wilcox - Cal ($2.85)
Clay Helton - USC ($3.2) hot seat
Chip Kelly - UCLA ($3.5) hot seat
Mike Leach - Wash State ($3.75) now coach at Mississippi State
Kyle Willingham - Utah ($4.0)
David Shaw - Stanford ($4.61)
Chris Peterson - Washington ($4.63) retired after season

Interesting twist;
Senator Craig Murphy, D-CT,
“Unpaid (Michigan) football players are playing in the middle of a pandemic to assure their coach can get his $7.5 million salary,” Murphy wrote. “If Harbaugh made $1M instead, each player could get a $50K annual stipend to help their families pay for rent, health care, etc.”

^Nick doesn't get a lot of blow-back here in Alabama but there's some noise
about Sarks raise and nine other assistant coaches getting raises.

The timing is terrible............

Quick Hits

Wisconsin - Only five Power five teams ( Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia and
Oklahoma) have won more games than the Badgers the last five years.

Auburn - The Tigers will play No. 3 Alabama, No. 4 Georgia and No. 5 LSU this season.
Wham, Bam, Thankyou Mam!!!

Texas - is hoping new coordinators on both sides of the ball will spark a leap back into
national contention. While the coordinators are impressive (Mike Yurcich on offense and
Chris Ash on defense) no team in recent history that pulled off a two-coordinator change
saw any drastic change in fortune.

Oklahoma State - With 19 starters returning, the Cowboys should be in the mix for the
Big 12 title and could contend for bigger goals if the pieces fall in place. Here's guessing
they won't...instead of football, players are worried about T-shirts.

USC - With no true power in the Pac 12 conference right now, the Trojans have a great
opportunity to finally step forward.

Minnesota - P.J. Fleck has taken the Gophers from five to seven to eleven wins during
his three seasons leading the school. 2020 unlikely to match last year's success.

Utah - The Utes have a substantial number of holes to fill, including replacing a very
underrated quarterback. They will suffer for not having a traditional offseason to
fully evaluate these position battles.

Florida - A key to repeat last year's success is for the offensive line to create a better
run game to take some pressure off the passing game.

Central Florida - The Knights' defense must navigate the loss of sack leader Brandon
Hayes and leading tackler Nate Evans, but have the benefit of eight returning defenders
returning.

Now, let's play some football...................

SEC Holding Firm - With the Big Ten flirting with canceling the fall football season,
the Southeastern Conference still wants to play. Sports Illustrated reported the Big
Ten had already been gauging interest in whether other Power 5 conferences were on
board for a uniform decision to be announced later this week. Don't include the SEC
in that group, at least not yet. The SEC purposefully pushed back its fall camp start
to August 17 and season opener to September 26 to monitor how the other sports,
including the NBA and MLB, were handling playing games amid the pandemic. That
hasn't changed. SEC commissioner Greg Sankey has done a good job of encouraging
the league's 14 presidents to hold the line and be patient. If only the Big Ten moves
to spring, there's no reason why the SEC continues on its plan. It gets considerably
trickier if the Pac 12 and or Big 12 join in with the Big Ten. There is considerable
apprehension among college administrators about whether a spring football plans could
work. Play the damn season already!

College Football Players unite and Trevor Lawrence tweets;
“People are at just as much, if not more risk, if we don’t play. Players will all be sent home to their own communities where social distancing is highly unlikely and medical care and expenses will be placed on the families if they were to contract covid19,” the star quarterback wrote.
“Not to mention the players coming from situations that are not good for them/ their future and having to go back to that. Football is a safe haven for so many people. We are more likely to get the virus in everyday life than playing football. Having a season also incentivizes -"
I totally agree!!

Scott Frost (Nebraska HC)

"We want to play a Big Ten schedule," Frost said in a press conference Monday afternoon.
"Our university is committed to playing no matter what, no matter what that looks like and
how that looks. We certainly hope its the Big Ten. If it isn't, I think we're prepared to look
for other options."

Coach, give the SEC a call. The league might just welcome a 11th game.
