538 got crushed in the 2016 election. I do remember them being cited as the God's of prognostication after getting their reputation in 2012. That was pretty shortlived.

C's v Heat is the real nba finals(imo)

Luka(I think) can't beat the Celtics by himself. Warriors are kinda a shell of that 73 win team. Klay just isn't very good anymore, almost a detriment. Steph is showing age. Dray is still decent. Poole great offensive player but terrible defensively.( I know he wasn't on that 73 win team)

Outside of injuries Celtics should take this....Heat will pose some problems. But I don't think they have enough shooting. Jimmy can be so hit and miss with his offensive game.

But we shall see..

I’d give both the west teams a better chance against the Celts than I would the heat. And as said in other thread, I’m not nearly as high on GS as the market either

I just don’t see the heat being able to consistently score in this series. Butler playing great but they just don’t have the high end offensive players + spacing needed to score against a defense like this.

Celts have no weak spots to attack on D whereas heat will have to play Herro if they wanna have a chance to score, he’ll need a few big games in the series. He’s about as easy a player you’re gonna get to attack at conf finals level of ball as it gets, we’ll see if Miami can creatively find ways to hide him. Celts didn’t let nets hide Irving, Curry or bucks allen, portis

I’d still like Celts if Lowry was healthy but it’s a big loss. Vincent/Strus were nice finds but they’re gonna need a little higher end guard play than that.

The scheduling quirk could make the series a bit disjointed to start but kinda see Cs overwhelming them fairly easily. Not the most nuanced series to handicap, both teams will struggle to score, just 1 a lot more

Heat need a shooting variance win or two, which is certainly possible w these teams

I just haven't liked that GS team all season. Seems more of a mirage.

They beat a Denver team that was crippled. They beat a Memphis team that was shown not to be ready by Minnesota.

Heat are a tough defensive team and have arguably the best coach of the 4 teams left. Butler and Bam are a decent 1-2 with a solid supporting cast. But I obviously think C's are much better in all departments outside of arguably coaching.(its close)

If Luka wins a championship with this team he deserves the label as best player in NBA.

Doncic is gonna be tough to take out, Kawhi had to step on his throat last year. And that Mavs team sucked. Doncic is basically the Harden 2.0 upgrade, Dallas copied Houston. Spread pick and roll, kill your worst defender, no weak spots to pick at on D. It really is a money ball/cheat code way of playing if you got the right guys and takes superior talent to beat it.
