I don't how I could have forgotten Jimi Hendrix in answer to this question . I was very sad the day he died. What a waste of such a great talent. I think he was only 27 and still had a lot to give the music world. The Stones, the Beatles, and Jimi Hendrix are phenomonoms that you might be lucky to hear once in a lifetime in my opinion.

I was musing over this question last night... I was probably too young for Elvis' death to affect me.

I can't really come up with a name that had that much affect.

I asked my wife, and she said (instantly) Princess Diana.
