that is true BUT this kid has major major plate coverage like no1 I have ever seen...

With a free swinger like Gonzalez putting up impressive numbers like he is, you would think that is the case. But he is not covering the plate well in terms of contact, as his 59.2% contact rate on pitches outside the strike zone is well below the 66% league average, and just above 27 starters in the MLB. His BABIP is well above league average and above his historical numbers would suggest he should be putting up right now. His BABIP on balls outside the zone is also well above league average, and a much tougher case in claiming sustainability.

he's not even the best Gonzalez in baseball LOL, he plays in a launching pad while Adrian Gonzalez plays in a pitcher's park (arguably the toughest place to hit)

Carlos is a good, young player, but Adrian is da man. I've turned into a Padres homer since early August since I jumped on them at big odds (7-1 and 15-1) on the futures . Their odds didn't drop until after the Giants series a few weeks after where they took 2 out of 3. They have been giving me good action all month where I don't even have to bet and they paid for the futures anyway after ae good run a few games early this month right after I left here.
I even bought their team hat (they also paid for that too)

If they play my hometown Braves in the playoffs I will be rooting for San Diego. Amazing what gambling can do to people. I know they are a longshot and everybody picked them to finish dead last, but they have given me a fun ride this month. The Phillies swept them and they will see that kind of pitching in the playofffs which worries me , but win or lose in the playoffs they have brought me alot of fun and action. Go Padres.

Gonzalez's numbers are unreal at home .386/.431/.781 with 23 homers. Only .267/.286/.411 on the road with only 6 homers.

because Carlos is helping the Padres tonight

believe it or not....they are making up a lot of ground in the race....especially in the wild card...if they make the play offs NO ONE is going to want to play this team first round.
