youd have to be smart not to get caught. dont overdo it and do it at busy casino times.

personally, if I were doing that what would worry me most would be that maybe they didnt catch the move live, but something seems suspicious to someone and they review the tapes and figure it out. the next time you show up at the casino, you are screwed. arrested and as they say in the NFL "irrefutable video evidence" against you. no way out from there, prison beckons.

And you would never see that coming because at your last trip to that casino, all went well and no casino personell seemed to be sweating you.

Maybe not prison, might just be the trespassing/ blackbook thing... which gets you thrown out everywhere, and arrested if you return.

It definetly wouldn't last long even if you were a master of prestidigitation.

doug I think he means something like this

you bet a green chip. you get dealt 20. you slide a black chip under your green chip while the dealer is dealing to other players at your table

obvouisly if they catch you, they wont find this very funny

Another problem is a good dealer would know what was bet before the deal, and $125 instead of $25 should work no more than once.

The tape probably doesn't get your face well enough for 100% certain evidence, I think they key in on the tabletop.

If you guys want to cheat at this stuff, stay the hell away with the casinos and all of that with trained professionals and cameras. Especially with summer on the way, just hot the local church festivals where they have any volunteer have games like Monte Carlo, poker, blackjack.

Very easy to cheat and if you get caught, you just get a few boos, walk away and come back later.

I cheated all the time at this O/U Monte carlo game awhile back. these morons think its all for fun and are half drunk while doing it anyway. Keep in mind this is some small stakes, but what the hell

I know some of you guys are degenerate enough to drive around the country looking for church festivals/carnivals.

Go down to Freemont Street, you can easily find $1 game Doug.

actually I think the Western's minimum went to $2. You can certainly find $5 minimum downtown, but much harder on the strip.

For $1 minimum, you might have to go lower than Western ( Gold Spike).

When did they deal every card, the 1950's ? :missingte

Atlantic City in the early 80s. After card-counting became legalized, they instituted counter-measures such as multiple decks and higher shuffle points.

No table games at Gold Spike any more. $1 is dead in LV. $2 is rare and only at dumps like Western if at all.

There's a certain charm about the Western...where the dealers can't total a hand with an ace in it.

where the cage calls the pit, if you cash a green chip.

they used to have a sign at the cashier's cage stating that you couldn't buy partial rolls of pennies.

I always visit the place when in town.

LMAO, Ive already planned on doing this, of course not all over the country, but in my town their are 2-3 festivals a weekend at the least. I believe they either play 1-2 deck so I plan on crushing them along with the the sucky poker players

Does raping the BJ pit at a church festival make you a bad person? :think2:

I figured you guys saw that on A&E, it was when they aired all the casino scams, MIT BJ team. This guys was amazing, he used sleight of hand. He would put a chocolate chip (5k) under a black chip on a busy roulette table. If his color didn't hit he would switch it w/ 2 blacks chips. The key was the angle of the top chip, he would push it slightly forward so from the dealers angle, they couldn't really tell what was the color of the chip under it without really looking. Was the most profitable casino scam ever.... I'll do a search to see if i can find him....

If someone is intelligent enought to card count with the way things are now; more power to them because very few could do it. Instead of trying to arrest them, they should get a medal.

I used to play when I lived in Vegas, I didn't try much for comps, didn't need a room.

I used the simple count of +1 for 2-6, and -1 for tens ans aces, and a high differential in bet sizes.

The game has changed, harder to win now.

Don't expect much in comps for 5-25 play, if anything at all.

Any of many books can teach you the counting systems. Lawrence Revere's book is good. Thorpe is the original guy. Patterson and Wong are good too.

Its kind of too late for BJ,IMO. It used to be good much like sports used to be good when there was Neteller, bonuses, reliable books, etc.

Does card counting give you enough edge to go above 100% payout?

yes, but a counter needs to vary bet size, and typical players bet the same amount consistently, changing bet size from 1 unit to 5 units stands out as play typical of a counter, and the casino can say... go away.

The deck fluctuates to being favorable and unfavorable to the player, betting more when favorable gains the advantage, but is hard to do for long.

You can't realistically bet $10, then suddenly $100, then back to $10. You'd have a better chance of that with a shoe game. In a hand-held game, that move often causes the dealer to shuffle.

It has for me but it's not easy money. There are big swings back and forth. And not counting comps into the equation, barely makes it above 100%.
