I caught it too, but to be honest, I don't even want to look, my cleats are on the shelf today. Just dog fuckin all day long. Besides which, all we really need is in the PDWS. Pops, did you ever come up with instructions on how to update? Just so I don't screw anything up and end up with all -8 hollys.
there two type of updates, i consider the 1st one to be just putting the proper data from the pdws into the posummary and wa nps
in the popsummary it's col's A,D,I,V. you just take the corresponding data from the pdws that is sent out daily and put it in there if i havent already done so
with the wa nps you have a few more col's C,D,E,L,P,Q,BF,BI, BT&BW(remember home to visitor and visitor to home)
once this have been copy past special from the pdws into those cols you just do a data refresh command and you holly is updated
the above is very simple and should take less than 5 min to update both. last night i did do those updates but when i looked this morning, the data that i sent out, and what i had on my computer didnt (so i must have dreamed it)
the other update is where you not only will need to do the above but also add data to your master. that not difficult to do, but if it's not done properly all of your pivot tables plus the popsummary and wa nps will all be wrong.
if you check the master you received today, go into the al nl combined and sat may 19th should be there, although it's prob missing a couple of final scores.
tonight i'm going to do the master update plus the ump stand alone once all the games are finished. this will prob be the last master that i'll be able to send by email, because of the file size, it's currently over 5 mb unzipped, but with 2007 excel they do a much better job with compression, so even after i zip the file it still almost 5 mb
so today i'll start working on a procedure on how you can take the small data items i send out and add them to your masters
