Smolz also is just plain a prime pitcher in general; but he really shines lifetime when starting against teams who are struggling to score runs; in other words; he beats the teams that even have trouble scoring against average pitchers..!!!(look it up; it's like 75%-80% wins against teams which are not scoring more than 3-4 runs/game..

I realize you all have a system, data, etc. ; which i respect; and actually feel that is the correct way to play bases if you wanta make a real effort; and bet all year (just plain a super grind)...but playing against smolz when he pitches against a team like colo that other than one dd outburst; recently they just cannot cross homeplate.; even with a rosary..!!
