it's pretty easy to do, in the data tab Data Validation, do col c Series Game, high light row 3 thru 20 (line 20 is the end of my fields for data on the wa nps, than click on Dada Validation, you will see it ref the data right below it. same process for any of the drop down filters

Pops,
2 questions. I just did this for column c, rows 3-20. what exactly is supposed to happen when i do this, cause it looks like nothing happened.
When you open the data validation box, do you just hit the okay button.

second question, when i tried doing it on the visiting pitchers box, heres the message i got when i opened the data validation box
"the selection contains more then one type of validation, erase current settings and continue"
so i hit okay and nothing happened, drop down boxes for visiting pitchers didnt come back.

I love these excel lessons, will be a master by end of baseball season, lollll.

yes i did and had a great time, especially when jimmy gave the winner. we sat on the opp side of the ring from mc cain but were about 8 rows back, next to that little shit de caprio. i think i was the biggest looking bumb there

you need to make sure it's "list", than just drag the range from top to bottom of the data and it will fill in the range, than hit ok to close it

Pops,

I have been reading the past posts and trying to catch up with things. Im am in college and just got done with my finals so I have a ton of time on my hands and if there is a way I can get in and help with things, I would like to. I look over your PDWS sheets that you post on here a lot and I found a trend the last 2 days that is 5-0-1 and It helped me out. I am not sure if you are going to keep posting them on here but I didn't see it for today and I think it could help us out.

i post pdws every day for anyone to d/l which also includes the popsummary. the complete spreadsheets only go to those that help to collect data for the spreadsheets or special projects. the pdws are the key pitching data which goes into making up the spreadsheets

Pops,
okay i fixed the visiting pitcher drop down. What i did was copy the source from row 20, which was blank and had no pitchers in it, but still had the drop down arrow working. The source code for pitchers row 3-17 was wrong.
Now the dropdown is working, thanks for the excel lesson.

cincy, sorry guy, it only goes to those that work collecting the data. it wouldnt be fair to all those that are doing to work. if you want to be added to the work detail i'd be glad to add you as i have a couple of open slots in the barrel coming up but i'm close to being full up for the season etc. you need to have office 2007 to be able to do the spreadsheets
