What will kill ND and has hurt them in the last 10 years is they have higher academic standards than most and alot of athletes are turned away nowadays.

The great stretch in the early 90's with Zorich, Bettis, Tony Rice and a few others are not around now because they won't take guys like that now (too low of test scores).

That is true. Rumors were that Louz Holtz saw some of this and it helped his decision to leave too. I am sure this is true. No doubt though that ND can still win and win big there. It will not be easy and good points, ICE, but it can be done.
