That's NOT what my attorneys in Panama are telling me.

Joey C WHERE do you get this SHIT?

PLEASE back-up that statement.

IB, I don't have agendas, i'm not jelous and I wish everyone moving to Panama all the best.

However your bolded statement is not correct. Over 85% of Panamiam Co. hold their bank account elsewhere ( Primarily St.Kitts, Nevis, Lichtenstein, Switzerland ). Malta is also becoming more and more popular nowdays due to its juridical status.

Relax dude

Dream Maker - All the banks in St.Kitts & Nevis have been under review for over a year now from the U.S. and St.Kitts & Nevis banks have cooperated 100% with the U.S. and have provided any info the U.S. has been asking for.

I think you need an update dude. Put the joint down and do your homework.

IB,

3 of the top 5 books out there have accounts in Nevis, none has been ever inspected.

I'd rather have a joint than be a wannabe knowjackchit...

-SLIM-:

Panama is not the second coming, we agree. But there are a couple of things that would be good for us to consider:

1. Panama has officially abolished their Army. So the raids should not be a situation anymore.

2. The banking system is definitely a +. These guys are fvcking pros when it comes to bank policies.

3. If some books leave C.R. the Government might actually wake up and try to make changes, before they lose all the industry. This will a benefit for all the shops that stay in C.R.

In general terms Panama City is a little bit less of a Ghetto, if we compare the city with San Jose. And your money is worth more in there.
Besides, they don't have none of these crappy import taxes we got in C.R.

You're a big wheel, brotherman. Rest assured you will like it in Panama if you have to go there. Right now, it's all good. Believe me.

Now, the big question remains: With the Patriot Act swinging in full, how long will it take for the US to claim "money laundry, terrorism or drug trafficking" when referring to the Panamenian bank system?

Intuition:

I got my information from a respected Panamian Attorney.

Do you think I just make up stuff to post up this board.

Intuition: While nobody's information is 1000%, I don't think my accuracy record is wrong very often.

I have been to Panama 3 - 4 times within the last 18 months, on business, and not to whore around.

When was the last time you went there and had real substantive discussions?

Joey C - No I don't think you make up what you write.

I was just on the phone yesterday with my attorney's there. I have a business there Joey.

Please enlighten me to what has changed...I am a sponge for NEW KNOWLEDGE...maybe I need new attorneys. Thanks.

Intuition:

A frank and open discussion with an attorney who handles / forms IBC's should do the trick.

I'm serious. The attorneys there today, I was so informed, must have a passport photo on file, as part of "know your client", even to provide an off the shelf corporation.

If requested by the Panamian authorities, they MUST comply and reveal ownership.

The attorney who revealed this information was lamenting about this matter, as her once brisk business is now in the crapper.

Informed responses to the many above posts:
Slim - There is no Panamanian Army to "kick in the doors." Which army are you referring to?

Ninja - Absolutely all player funds are held in escrowed Dollar accounts and are not converted into any other currency.

Max - Nobody gave up Manuel Noriega. He was a dictator much like Castro in Cuba or Hugo Chavez
in Venezuela today. The United States while still in control of the Panama Canal, in 1989 invaded here to extract him from power. He oppressed the general population and threatened the US and their interests in the Canal at that time. He gave news conferences and slammed machetes into tables while denouncing Pres. Reagan and the American influence in his country. After his removal 90% of the people were very happy and Panama went on to a decade of unparalled economic growth.

Gringo - There is nothing "under the table" here in Panama regarding this new industry. Especially now that legislation has passed in Nov02 creating licensing for international wagering. Quite the contrary the Panamanian government just wants to get in on the global business of internet gambling.

Nanuk - In the movie you refer to titled "Blow", do you think the narco-trafficers were licensed by the government to do the business the were conducting?

Truth be known.

I told you guys a few weeks back that I knew a secret about Panama. Well, it seems a lot of people are starting to figure it out. And I want to be the first to let you know what is going on down there.

The new sports book is named BetPanAm.com. It's the very first licensed sports book in Panama. Now we know others have set up there before, but never licensed by the government.

It's still going to be be some time before the Grand Opening. But, I wanted to give everyone a heads up on the set up in Panama. That's why I am about to go down there and check it out.

In fact, a very famous poster & writer friend of mine who many of you might already know, Krackman, will be joining me on this trip!

We will investigate everything, including offices, clerks, software, banking, and anything else we know is needed for success in the offshore sports betting world.

Furthermore, one of the main reasons we are so excited about going to Panama is because two of The Rx's favorites, are actually involved in the set up and marketing there.

Namely, Marty Monroe and Scotty(formerly of Pinnacle) are two of the primary people in the
marketing of this new book. And the reports we have been getting from them have us excited to get down there and check it out.

Krackman and I are headed there in mid July, in roughly three weeks from today. And you can expect daily reports from us while we are there as well.

I will conclude by saying this: it sure appears to me that Panama is about to become the new hot spot for offshore sports books, period!

Thanks for all the positive replys about our Sportsbook today. Just so you know we haven’t had a change of ownership. We had a change of management at the top. Now with this change of management we had some miscommunication between the investors. But that is all smoothing out now. But unfortunately we had a article come out this week about the state of affairs in Panama. Which in turn caused a run on the bank here. Give us a few days to get the accounts funded back up and it will be business as usual. It will take a few days but it will settle down. We weren’t expecting this when we woke up Monday morning but we will fix the situation. Also just so people know even though Neteller is not funded as yet we have offered many people Western Union. Some people fail to mention this when they post of the payment problems. Give it a day or so it will work out. Thanks for your support..

Scotty

The Epilogue?

quote:
posted January 22, 2004 05:00 PM

Due to the fact that a number of gamblers are currently being slow paid, we have no other choice but to remove BET PAN AM from this site...

I have spoken with BET PAN AM'S Chief of Operations, Bill, who answered some rather difficult questions very candidly...

The bottom line is that it is unclear at this time as to WHO will cough up the current debt that has been accrued by them...

Bill was very optimistic that someone (either one of the current shareholders or another entity) would act SOONER rather than later, but until they do, we have an obligation to remove BET PAN AM from this site until EVERY gambler is paid IN FULL....

We expect this sports book to pay off ALL of its debts within two weeks, and when that is done, we will be happy to place them back on our site...
