Thats what Im saying..Our word and rating of the Island should be TOP PRIORITY!! I can see it now, me in some safari outfit with a movie camera and ammunition belts across my chest in an x pattern...Instead of ammo though I would have a bunch of condoms where the bullets usually go. We would be driving around in the official H.I.P. Hummer with seats on the top and shit. On the inside the seats would recline all the way back for any prospects we pick up along the trail. Oh yeah I would also have a machete!

Someone has brought up the working relationship between the US and Panamanian gov't's. Does Manuel Noriega ring a bell? If they gave him up they'd damn sure give up some records, IMO. Or did he voluntarilly come to the US to visit Marion, IN?

I am glad i am not alone in my vision of H.I.P.'s role in this..

The condom ammo is a nice addition to the H.I.P. uniform.

quote:
Panama's secrecy laws are as transparent as one of Jenny's bras. I do know that if any law enforcement people want to see the corporate papers etc. this information will be provided to them by the fiduciary, under penalty of their arrest.

Panamanian attorneys will tell you frankly that Panamian corps and bank accounts, which used to be amongst the best with regards to privacy matters, aren't worth much these days.

I've been using Panamanian bank accounts, brokerage accounts, IBC's, foundations and trusts for a multitude of purposes since 1993, never a glitch and never a hint that there was any reason to feel the least bit sorry my money is there. Every IBC I set up (about half a dozen a year) is either Panama domiciled or T&C. If you're down in it, maybe your info is better than mine, but I get the impression that in Panama you're as strong as your dollars are long, and that if your attorney is worth a shit you won't have any problems with the government, ever.

Ten years without a whisper of a problem is real hard for me to see around.

I hope they like the heat in more ways than one. First it is hot there. I mean it makes an Aug day in Miami look like spring time.

Second, as others have already mentioned, books were in Panama before. They got chased out. So now Panama wants to make a little extra green under the table again. How long will it be before the long arm of uncle sam leans on them? That depends on how many books move there. If only a handfull go, it will not raise the red flag with uncle. If everyone files over there like they did in CR, uncle will be on Panama like the Colonel on a batch of chicken!

100% correct. The banking situation there will be the same as in CR.

Its funny how great Panama has gotten recently....they went from number #173 in world to #1......ooohhh wait no, its just that Costa Rica's situation isn't the same as a couple years ago.... Lets be honest, thats the only reason why Panama is being hailed like the savior....

Anyone that tells you how great it is, is bullshitting you or has a reason for hailing Panama...

Just give it time, Im sure the books in Panama will have a ball with their stay there...hot or not....

Oh and newsflash, anyone thinking the Panamanian government will do anything for a player....think again.

Panama has one of the BEST banking situations on the planet and the banks or the Gov't will NEVER disclose any banking info to the U.S.A. EVER!

This is a FACT. That's why many people/companies open IBC's there because its safe and the banking info is private.

Banking is one of their BIGGEST industries...and guess why that is?
