Objection to ruling for 7-19-05

I looked through the various posts for several days. I found two instances where there was a reference made to "action" picks. Here is the most clear cut one

You certainly made no objection to it. You certainly counted it in the man's record. I think we have a definite precedent.

Other contests here (for example the Rio/Skybook team of the week I believe) state explicitly that selections are action. I believe that rules ought to be consistent among contests. Just like players69 I was under the impression that selections were "action".

bill, the rules CLEARLY state that all games are LISTED PITCHERS.

If any contestant in the past listed their selections as "ACTION", it was an error on their part, and meant really nothing. If the LISTED PITCHER in the odds didn't start, they would have NO ACTION.

I did not count that in his record...certainly that is a horrible example...he didn't even list which game, and both games of the DH had pitching changes....

I am very surprised that you find this rule to be inconsistent with this contest, and how it has been scored...

*simple rule posted up front - 'Listed pitchers must start or no action'..its very clear cut....win or lose

Thanks for the explanations, Journeyman. Listed pitchers it is. I appreciate the time you took to respond to my objections. By the way, my eyesight is still pretty good. I do not need large print to read.

BillPapa- I posted in bolder print so it would be easier to seperate the post from the question...

If you still feel its wrong I can ask for further assistance , PO69 post was flat out wrong, he didn't even specify which game of the DH, if the pitchers would have remained the same there would not have been a problem..

I realize it sucks, but the ruling would have went the same way if the play lost...
