Trying to draw me into the fire huh Teddy? LOL. I'm quite fond of Box, he's a Florida boy, hell make that a Tampa boy, same area I am from. That said though I have to say I doubt very seriously the books are monitoring his plays. They don't give a fuck what anyone around here thinks on a game, including me. LOL. Most books copy openers like everyone else (though some still pay a line service like Roxy used to have), after that they move either off action or air. Most don't want to stick their nose out there anymore regardless of where the opinion comes from. Anyway if you remember in the past that is what Rodfather used to say. More recently we heard the same thing from Ace-Ace, almost fell out of my chair one day when he said Henry at Pinnacle didn't like to put his lines out until he had posted.

Just my opinion guys. Box has nothing to defend, his record speaks for itself, over 40 units is more than many of us make all year long. No disrespect intended but I doubt the books monitor his plays and adjust the lines based on that alone. I could be wrong, I'm just answering a question from a longtime veteran of the board. Good luck all.

3-2 osu pat top 6, how come you cant get the game?

Oh I can get it, I just got no action on it. I got 3 plays active (two losing and one push right now) that I am following more closely. I need another TV in here for the war room.

No doubt. Big difference though bewteen individual bettors and a book. It's not that easy for them just to move lines due to what someone bets. If that someone is Billy Walters than that's another story. I respect his CWS plays too, I just didn't see this one in time or I would be on it. I used to bet them when Winky was posting here because he would get red hot, now I follow Box or another hot capper when CWS is going on or I stay off it entirely. I don't follow college baseball at all.

Looks like OSU wants this more with the way they're playing.. hitting well, fielding well and pitching has been up to par thus far.. Hopefully we cash this sucker but it REALLY isn't looking good.

Oh and as I speak, another RBI.. goddamn UNC pitchers.

In the Regionals when Box was on absolute fire they were definately adjusting the lines according to his picks. He gets a shitload of views and this is probably the mostly widely looked at gambling forum.

Wow, bases loaded, 0 outs, bottom of the 7th, OSU leads 8-3, the UNC pitchers can't get any strikes in.. ridiculous motherfuckers

an RBI because another batter is walked 4-0 on the count, 9-3..

Slick, I am not going to argue with you about it, for one thing it makes no difference to me either way. But what people often confuse for a "book monitoring someone here at the RX" is a person having a following and those people betting the money that affect the line. I'll give you an example of one that was made a big deal of recently, one of the big tout outfits (Steele maybe) was moving the lines because they released their play at the same time every week and the squares were hammering those releases. This isn't unusual when the outfit is large enough. The books don't actively monitor those touts though, they don't need to, they just adjust based on the money coming in. In fact same with Ace-Ace if you want an RX example. Deserved or not he had a big following here, when he released plays I have no doubt it might have impacted a line like he said, especially early in the week when the volume isn't that high. That's not the same thing though as a book actively monitoring someone and adjusting lines just based on what they read from an RX poster. Books do move on air but it's to stay in line with everyone else most the time, not by reading opinions on-line from gamblers.

I guess what I am saying is it's much more likely that due to the following Box has, once he posts his plays the people following him is what's making the lines move. The money! Doesn't that sound more reasonable than some book paying an employee up at headquarters to watch the RX forums waiting for Box to put out a play? Obviously his opinions are influencing the lines indirectly (which is something to boast about in itself), but I still would doubt very seriously anyone is actively monitoring his picks. My Dad had a book for over 25 years, trust me you got plenty to do to keep up without worrying about things like that. I just knew I shouldn't have answered the first question on this topic, thanks Teddy. I'm going out for a drink anyway, bases is killing me tonight.
