See post 18. I would love to see a team's record in a bowl game when coach (non p5 school) takes job of another team and is not coaching his former's team in the bowl.

I saw that the Auburn QB declared for the draft.

Stupid question, but does that mean he wont be playing in the bowl game?

Me too. All I can say about Ivey, though, is that the players really like him, and he may have a good chance at being the HC. They should want to win the game for him, and being Asst HC already, he knows how to run things. I hope they win, but rightfully so, you never know what you’re gonna get I guess...

South Carolina DT Javon Kinlaw is expected to miss the bowl game. A bad South Carolina defense just got worse.

Great thread.
These high impact players sitting out can change a game outcome.
And there will be last minute announcements forthcoming sometimes right before game time.

Collins bailing on the Owls
Temple (8-4) is preparing to play in the Independence Bowl on Dec. 27 against Duke (7-5) in Shreveport, La. Assistant head coach/tight ends and special teams coach Ed Foley will serve as interim coach and guide the Owls in the bowl game. A graduate of Cherry Hill East, Foley has been an Owls assistant since 2008. He has worked under four Temple head coaches -- Collins, Matt Rhule, Steve Addazio, and Al Golden.Foley was the interim head coach when Rhule left for Baylor, coaching the Owls in their 34-26 loss to Wake Forest in the 2016 Military Bowl.

The entire Temple assistant coaching staff will stay with the team through the bowl game, regardless if any leave to join Collins at Georgia Tech.

WOW. Game is off the board, I was going to go after Cuse +7.

Missouri started out -12, now 7.5, even though the only reported NFL "sit outs" are the Ok St RB and lineman. Also they extended the Missouri coach Odoms at a much higher salary; have to wonder if linemakers think QB Lock will sit.

A am against early bet in bowls but you have to wonder if the top draft choice QBs will play, or duck out. Huge impact if they do. Missouri, Oregon, Wash St, Duke... go against them now?
