There are a few other bets I am considering. I lean LSU despite how poorly they played last week. I would love to get +3 with them, however the line has stuck at 2.5 to this point. Arizona is another lean for me now that the line is at 14.5. Could add these two along with a couple others tomorrow.
Clemson is another bet that I want to play. I think the line should be 6, the problem is the spot. Clemson has had a tough stretch of games lately. They win an OT shootout at Wake Forest, then they come home and get a huge win over NC State. The competition dropped off last week, but they were on the road. Now they have to go on the road for a second straight week which often is a tough spot for college teams especially when it comes to covering the spread. Clemson also has Syracuse on deck which normally wouldn't be as big of a game. However, Cuse is 5-0 and if they beat NC State (I bet them -3) and Clemson defeats FSU, that game will be a battle of unbeatens in the conference. At this moment I'm passing, but that could change.
By the way, that was a brutal beat with SMU. Up 20 with a few minutes left in the game. Even after garbage TD #1 by Navy, SMU was able to recover the onside kick. Despite that, they go three and out and Navy marches 80 yards for the half point backdoor cover with roughly ten seconds left. Thought I was going to start the weekend 2-0.
