Houston +2.5 (-110), 1*
I’m going to take the points here. I think these two teams are very even. Houston is the proven commodity and I’m going to trust them in this spot. They only have two losses this season. Three point loss to Tennessee in an early-season tournament. And a four point loss to Texas Tech. At worst, I expect them to be down a couple possessions late. Then we see who can execute at the end of the game.

Tough loss with Houston. All they had to do was get the rebound on the missed free throw when they were down two. You don’t expect to see that kind of mental mistake from a Kelvin Sampson team. Anyway, lot of good games today. I had time to do some handicapping last night, so I’m getting these out nice and early. GL

This is a bad spot for Arizona. They are coming off playing Kansas, Texas Tech and BYU. Now they have to play at Houston who is coming off a close loss to Iowa State. Houston gives up the fewest made shots in college basketball at only 20.5 per game. They are very physical, not exactly a team you want to play at the end of a tough stretch of games. I respect Arizona, I know they are good. I think they lose for the third time in four games and I think it gets away from them in the second half.

This is a bad spot for Arizona. They are coming off playing Kansas, Texas Tech and BYU. Now they have to play at Houston who is coming off a close loss to Iowa State. Houston gives up the fewest made shots in college basketball at only 20.5 per game. They are very physical, not exactly a team you want to play at the end of a tough stretch of games. Wrong night to back St. John’s. I give UConn credit, this was a statement for them. With that said, the Johnnies also are having an incredibly bad night. Still not going to take anything away from the Huskies, they have played incredibly hard from the jump.
