I am considering the Clippers. If Brooks and Williams don’t play, I will bet the Clippers -5.5. Otherwise, I have to pass and I’m done for the night. I have a little consideration to the Pacers after seeing Murray and Gordon might not play. I think there is some merit to making a bet without those guys, I don’t have the stomach for it personally. I need the Pacers to get some guys healthy in their backcourt first.

I do have one game I want to target today. I don’t expect this spread to drop at all. Embiid and McCain aren’t going to play two days in a row. One thing I have noticed is the Sixers are really pushing the pace this season with their young backcourt, particularly when Embiid is off the floor. We saw 250 points in the Sixers game last night and that was with Embiid in the lineup. Philly is 7-2 to the over this season. While that will normalize over the course of the season, I do think overs without Embiid will be something to bet periodically. GL

I lean the Kings tonight, especially at 4.5. Monk and Lavine are resting which is why the number went up from 3.5. I can’t quite get there. Atlanta has the rest advantage. I actually like this Hawks team even without Trae Young. Most of their roster plays hard and Porzingis is an asset when he is on the court. Lean Kings, but a pass for me. Orlando got home easily, hope to get one more. I’m not greedy.

This is a rare circumstance that I will bet an nba game ahead of time. The Spurs don’t have any injuries issues other then Dylan Harper. They just lost to Golden State at home on Wednesday. I think there are things they can take from that game and apply tonight. One is to push the pace. They outscored Golden State 19-7 on fast break points. The Warriors best players are older and Sam Antonio can wear them down over four quarters. Also, the Spurs were outshot 36-16 at the free throw line. They should be able to make some adjustments and clean that up. Typically in a playoff series, a team who got a strong whistle against them in one game will have a more favorable whistle in the next game. With these two teams playing twice in a row, I wonder if those attempts even out a bit in this game. I trust Wemby and the Spurs that they are legit enough to win in this spot.
