I cant really see how a bonus whore would hurt a book. look at the action they are getting. they are still getting the vig from the whore, am i not correct? once again, it comes down to bad business management. also, putting a limit on the bonus is good also, never over $500, and i would say the most 1K

I believe its quiet inappropriate to place whores and scammers at same level. Scammers are scammers, period. Too many ways to scam a book that it would take hours to type in just a number of them.

Whores exist because weak books allow them to exist. Books constantly giving out 20%+ bonuses are the ones to blame. Exceptions apply to short term promotions ( WWTS style ).

Regardless, whores exist and prosper because operations that cannot otherwise compete because of their poor marketing or clone content ( still ) believe that huge bonuses compensate their lack of attractiveness.

Said books have not yet realized that whores are everything but loyal...they come in, get the best and rush out of the door with their bag full, further weaking an operation that has to lower itself to market "irresistable" bonuses as a sole tool of survival.

My two cents....

If you can take advantage of any book, be it scalping or getting the better of them with a bad nubmer...do it. They are in business. They would not be offering a bonus if it didnt add to their bottom line. That is the bottom line.

JM you should just stick to the 'i drove 4 hours to bang some 250lb chick threads' rather than talking about things you clearly know next to nothing about.

If you are whoring and circumventing limits with a group of 5-10 people, then you are bad for business. If I want a 20%, I am not hurting much, no matter what I do. Many here understand what I am saying. I'm not talking about me and my $10 wagers.

In my experience the books i still play with
Ibetx nil
Betfair nil
BetAustralia nil
Pinnacle 10%
Betehorse nil

I get good CS from these guys, I stick with them for it.
Bonuses are the only reason I've tried certain books.

BetBet
VIP
All Tracks

They gave me problems so I left

For me good CS beats a sign up bonus, if these guys had've fiven me good CS i'd still be hanging around them.

How does this hurt them General? Bonus whoreing is circumventing limits? So say Sickgambler did have 15 accounts. He deposits all at WWTS for a 20% bonus, what is different from that, than 15 ordinary Joe's depositing? Bottom line, they are still GETTING THE VIG! That is what makes these books money bottome line.

If a book can't take the action they offer, then they should think about another business.

Does offering a 20% bonus hurt a book?

With a 5X rollover requirement a $1000 deposit {200 bonus}
requires 6000 in action. If the player doesn't lose all 1200
before meeting the rollover he will probably still lose anyway.
Why? Because at a winning rate of 50% & -110 vig he will
lose about 300 in vig which is more than his bonus amount.

No, not for the majority

Bigbet,

Books have limits. Again, LIMITS. If 5 people colluding grab a 20%, then that could be a huge loss for the book on 1 bet maybe. Certainly likely with slow moving lines at obscure books who are likely involved. The book allows a certain exposure of risk, but when a team comes in, that risk can be multiplied greatly.

Oh the poor little books.

It's not fair because when they give 20% bonus and anybody with half a brain comes in and takes advantage of them. They hang their -110 lines and if you are taking the better side of the -110 you are a "sharp" so we are gonna have to revoke your bonus (or loayalty points at CRIS). But if you are taking the better side of it and still losing that is ok.

Give me a break

My advice to the books is this. Offer a 20% bounus and require a rollover of at least 10x. Do the math on that one General. Hell offer a 30% bounus and require a 25x rollover.

Persons who collude to collect bonuses on multi accounts and then try to circumvent limits via wagering to collect bonus monies with little or no risk to them, but only to sieze the bonus and get out with that bonus profit having no concern for ever giving or showing any loyalty to the books inwhich they try and take advantage of.
Sound's much like the stock market

There is a growing amount of bonuswhores and the only books that truelly hurt from these bonus's are Pinnacle ect...

A bonus whores goal is to scalp out where you know your money is safe.
Some of these "lower-ended" books survive from bonuswhores. (this is a fact)

Some who post here are of the opinion that Pinnacle,
rather than being hurt by those bonus scalpers, is
actually depending on a significant amount of their
income due to them. I think it probable that most of
these players lose at Pinnacle, so it is the other books
that would be getting hurt, if any.
