I'm going to go way out on the limb and suggest an easily identified sovereign nation like Russia is more likely to be influenced by massive international pressure than an illicit roaming organization like Al-Qaeda, but I could be mistaken and others can be correct, there's no difference, It's all the same. (how can one respond to such nonsense?)

Furthermore, I might suggest a lot of good was accomplished after 2001, after the surge brought security to Iraq, and all of that has been undone as we watch the world go up in flames. Now the war was mismanaged until the surge, and the result is we spent a lot more time and money than we needed to because of such.

Now, I didn't see any connection between the two events, but I'm responding to others who have for some reason. Just a remarkable ilk they are, who take everything personal and act as if Obama is their god for heaven's sake, and run around the internet protecting and backing their lord from mean people. I guess "The Obama" works in mysterious ways.

I honestly didn't know that saying "lets hope something good comes out of this, like international pressure so overwhelming it forces Russia to back down on it's overly aggressive behavior" would be offensive to somebody.Silly me

As opposed to before when terrorists flew our own jets in to some towers. They really respected us then.[/QUOTE
spot on. With our Prez reading a kindergarten book. How soon people forget.

again, "a kindergarten book"? WTF?

OMG, how do you explain such rationale? how do you respond to such nonsense?

rhetorical question, I know the answer, you're not supposed to respond and I shouldn't have. Everyone will see what I'm talking about soon enough.

Russians...

Transcripts of audio intercepted by Ukranian security services in which pro-Russian separatists discuss how they had shot down an airliner paint a chilling picture of what happened on the ground after Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 crashed near the Russian border, killing all 298 people on board, including 27 Australians.

The audio points to the involvement of the rebels, who are believed to have Russian backing, in the crash.

US intelligence has confirmed a surface-to-air missile was fired at the plane. The rebels have shot down two Ukranian military aircraft in the past week.

One section of the audio includes a conversation between two militants nicknamed “Major” and “Grek”, as rebels inspected the crash site. They discuss the evidence that it was a civilian plane.

“It’s 100% a passenger aircraft,” Major is recorded as saying, noting that he saw no weapons on-site. “Absolutely nothing. Civilian items, medicinal stuff, towels, toilet paper.”

Here's a full transcript of that recording from the BBC:

[Male voice, captioned as "The Greek" ] Yes, Major.

[Major] Well, the Chernukhino lads shot down the plane.

[Greek] Who shot it down?

[Major] From the Chernukhino roadblock. The Cossacks at Chernukhino.

[Greek] Yes, Major.

[Major] Well, the plane fell apart in the air, near the Pertropavlovskaya coal mine. The first casualty 200 [military jargon for dead body] has been found. A civilian.

[Greek] Well, what do you have there?

[Major] Basically it was 100% a civilian aircraft.

[Greek] Are many people there?

[Major] [Curses] The debris fell right into backyard.

[Greek] What kind of aircraft?

[Major] I have not figured this out yet because I haven't been close to the main body of the debris. I am only looking where the first bodies began to fall. There are the remnants of inner brackets, chairs and bodies there.

[Greek] I see. Any weaponry there?

[Major] Nothing at all. Civilian things, medical bits and bobs, towels, toilet paper.

[Greek] Any documents?

[Major] Yes. From an Indonesian student. From Thompson University [curses].

In another segment, a militant reports in to Mykola Kozitsyn, believed to be one of the Cossack leaders of the rebel movement. “As to this plane shot down nearby Snezhnoe-Torez,” the militant says. “This turned out to be a passenger one. It fell down outside Grabovo, there is a whole lot of bodies of women and children.”

In another quote from that recording, a militant says to Kozitsyn: “On TV they say like it is a Ukranian AN-26, a transport plane. But the writing says ‘Malaysian Airlines’. What was it doing over the territory of the Ukraine.”

I saw Hillary Clinton & some other wackos on TV last night saying Russia was responsible.......how in the world can you blame someone w/o an investigation? It seems to me when you blame someone this fast, there is a political reason for it.

With the fighting between Ukraine & Russia going on now for several months, hadn't anyone thought maybe Ukraine shot the plane down to blame Russia for it (it could be a political blame game)& Ukraine ggainsthe sympathy of the UN & the world?

Is it possible? Of ccourse, its happened before & it will happen again.......has it happened this time? I don't know but there is a possibility.

Will we ever know the truth? No.....I believe there is a lot of cover-ups & strategic scenarios for the benefits of certain countries.

Actually .. Sen. John McCain said it first!

McCain: Putin 'responsible' if pro-Russian separatists shot down plane in Ukraine

That was the message Sen. John McCain delivered after the United States concluded a missile shot down a Malaysia Airlines passenger jet that crashed in a rebel-controlled part of eastern Ukraine on Thursday.

While it is unclear who shot down the plane, the Arizona Republican says that if either the Russian government or pro-separatist forces in Ukraine fired the missile,

Russian President Vladimir Putin is ultimately responsible for the crash.

Every time something happens around the world, Graham and McCain are on the hunt to find the nearest camera in Washington. But neither of them ever offer up any concrete proposals or solutions of what to do next. What do you suggest McCain, we nuke'em?

I'm not saying this is faked but there is literally no proof that is a real conversation. Just saying everyone should wait for the investigation to complete

Strength/Power is what is sinking us.
there's no strong leadership from the free world any longer, our (read western civilization) enemies are emboldened

you can only achieve peace through strength, this has been true throughout the history of mankind and we're learning that lesson yet again

the world is probably as unstable as it's been since the 1960's

You can just admit your reading comprehension skills aren't that great. No one here will care.

I doubt Enfuego cares for your opinion on reading comprehension. You admitted you couldn't even read the NBA bylaws and comprehend what the word "willful" meant. Of course that didn't stop you from foolishly arguing the complete wrong interpretation.
