Well I mean this is a little misleading, Russia poses no threat to the US and is not even in a conflict with us. They are fighting their neighbors. Putin and Obama were actually on the phone this morning... I cannot possibly imagine Putin having anything to do with this.

This statement couldn't be further from the truth. We are very worried about Russia but what do I know?

After all, we only had a Russian bomber flying 50 miles off the Coast of California a few months back. What's there to worry about?

Think there were 23 Americans on board. I'll be more curious to see what the countries of the other passengers will do. They have the majority of people on the plane.

Agreed. 23 US, 6 English, 80 children. I believe there are still some passengers whose nationality is undetermined or simply not released yet.

Malaysia Airlines has released a partial manifest of the passengers aboard downed Flight 17.



According to senior vice president Huib Gorter, Malaysia Airlines knows the nationalities of 233 of the 280 passengers. All 15 crew members were Malaysian.

- 27 Australian

- 23 Malaysian

- 11 Indonesian

- 6 United Kingdom

- 4 German

- 4 Belgian

- 3 Philippines

- 1 Canadian

In response to reports of Americans aboard the flight, U.S. Department of State spokesperson Jen Psaki said earlier Thursday there was no further information available concerning the passenger manifest.

U.S. officials confirmed Thursday afternoon that Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down by a missile although the party responsible has not yet been identified.

MH17 crashed in Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, where pro-Russian armed separatists are battling Ukrainian armed forces for control of the area, while en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
