I believe blackjack is the #1 money making table game for most casinos as has been reported by several of them. Combine that fact with the fact that not everyone on the table plays the same strategy as you, should lead a person to play games like craps that winkyduck mentioned and baccarat where you have noone to blame but yourself if things dont go well.

In addition, when I used to play alot of blackjack in the casinos I noticed what winkyduck is saying on the lower limit tables. Ive gotten on some higher limit tables where everyone pretty much had the same strategy based on what the dealer was showing but still I still didnt have alot of success. I think what bothered me even more than people not staying/hitting correctly in this game, was when people would periodically not play a hand or when people constantly come and go on the table which I felt threw everything off whether it was true or not. I also believe it is blackjack etiquette to ask the players at the table if its ok for you to join just in case the cards are running hot for them. But once again since this is the #1 money making table game in the casinos, im sure 90% of the time if you asked to join, the whole table would say the dealer is killing them, which is what ive heard alot when ive asked or already been on a table.

Speaking of BJ, does anyone know of any casinos in Vegas that offer 3/2 payouts on single deck BJ? I've heard there are some downtown?

I'm sick of playing the 6/5 single deck games there. 6/5 is a beating in the long run.

that blackjack strategy page helped me a ton, I went to the casino last weekend and played a bit differently than I usually do, and racked up 300 bucks in a short time... I used to occasionally stand on 15s and 16s when the dealer had a 9 or 10 showing but I guess you're sposed to take a hit in that case, and, I was getting really lucky hitting on 15 and 16, I got a couple 21's and a few 20's. Normally I'd be stuck with 15 or 16 cuz I stood. Of course within 10 minutes after I left the table I lost 100 bucks playing roulette and craps.

Take the time to educate yourself on blackajck and realize it is a game that is strictly mathematical. The cards already played do have an effect (the effect of removal) on the remaining cards to be played. The house has an edge to begin with, but this edge does not remain constant as in games with fixed edges such as craps and roulette. If you do not educate yourself and know the mathematics behind these games, then you have no right to cry foul when you lose.
