Kemit, good points all. I know, I know, he's a HOF etc., but just never a big Starr guy. That OL might have been as good as there ever was. A MN guy HUH, oh the heartbreak of 4 SB losses. The one to KC hurt me the most, I hated that strutting little peacock Stramm, as much as I do Buddy R & all the Ryans. BOL to you. Do you ever get home?

Vikings fans ..............great LOYALITY, but for the most part, not to sharp when it comes to the NFL, and the silly statements they make towards Packer fans is insane.

Would love to see a VIKINGS/BILLS superbowl someday.............going to love the WILL THE GAME GO INTO OVERTIME prop in this one.

First off Im a huge Packers fan as Fishhead knows and I think they run the Table also but the only team with a chance to beat them in The Super Bowl if they make it from the AFC IMO is the Ravens believe it or not.
Yeah. Best post in the thread. That would make for an incredible super bowl. Because both of those defenses are really good. It's just that the pack are still better because of their offense.

It would be fun to root for the under in a SB for a change LOL.

RAVENS, STEELERS, and PATS could all pull the upset over the PACKERS if they reach the Superbowl.................the only three teams in the AFC I feel has a chance to do such.

A PATS/PACKERS superbowl would be off the charts popular...............and would be a BOOM for the betting industry.

Yes, it was always a bad taste to think of all those great Viking teams back then and no Super Bowl rings. As for Bart Starr, I am surprised that you weren't that big on him.I have met him in Vegas and I have an autographed GB Helmet right in front of me. I always look at him as one of the best ever. Why ? He always took care of the ball and knew that his team and defense would take care of business. I think He had one of the best ever TD to INT ratios back in those days. He was always willing to take a sack rather than throw away the ball for an int. 5 NFL titles speak for themselves even if today's media act as though the first 3 Championship don't count as Super Bowl Titles. They changed the name .. Big deal ! Home to me is Oregon as I have spent most of my life there. I was born In St. Cloud, Mn. but I have no intention of ever returning to live there. I do remember ice fishing there however !

Agree with you, the Packers defense not to be considered one of the best of all-time.........but when you couple their style of defense with the supurb Packers SPECIAL TEAMS and a top calibur offense that can certainly be considered one of the best of all-time, one can see where COWHER and others may certainly see the all-time greatness of this team.................

"Cowher and others" there are no others. cowher is the only dumbass who said this shit in public.

LOL @ Special Teams .. who gives a fuck about special teams. THeir defense is not great, it's not even as good as it was last season. homer

GB gets leads on teams and forces them to play catch up and take chances. Also nice you have the likes of Woodson who is somewhat free to take chances also. He is the defensive MVP who does it all for the Pack. Williams is a fine corner and Peprah is several notches below Collins but gets the job done. 4 TO's yesterday with 2 starting LB out. Same thing last year, lose someone to injury and the next guy comes in and steps up. Team.

Side note, loved the old Vikes under Grant with the Purp. People eaters, Fran and the boys. Sure wish they would have gotten a ring.

Wondering about best team ever is like herding cats. Answer is that there is no best team ever. Each great team lived in its own era with its own athletic and technological advantages. Johnny Unitas's Colts were stone nasty tough winners. I was an ice bowl Green Bay fan as a child. I saw Jim Brown and Lou Groza play in Eagles Phil Franklin Field. Most memorable include some of the Dallas and Steeler teams. The markers on the yardstick for greatest get quickly smudged depending on how you measure. Some of the '80s Redskins teams were good (the '84 team who lost in the SB had something like a +54 takeaway). Some of the championship loser Buffalo teams deserve mention. I remain not impressed with the 'superbowl shuffle' one year wonder Bears. But I am impressed with this year's installment in the hall of memorable - Rodger's Packers. That circles back to what Green Bay will be this year. Measure up to Steelers, Dallas, Unitas, Lombardi ? Hope so.

You left out the best team of all time, Montana era 49ers.

Brady era Pats, when they still had a defense. Now with one of the worst, GB
is better on both sides of the ball & would win comfortably by 2 TDs.

Though the Packers could have some problems come playoff time, since they'll
be at home this year. In the blizzard in OT Rodgers' throw boomerangs over
his head through the uprights for the only score of the game.

FYI- If they don't win the SB, they will never be in consideration for best team ever.

2007 New England Patriots:

Number one ranked offense, 411 ypg, 37 ppg
Number four ranked defense, 288 ypg allowed, 17 ppg allowed

2011 Green Bay Packers:

Number three ranked offense, 404 ypg, 36 ppg
Number thirty-one ranked defense, 395 ypg allowed, 21 ppg allowed

People are going to see in the playoffs this GB team has issues. The same thing that undid that Patriots team will undo this Packers team- they have NO WHERE near as good a defense, and are MUCH less balanced on offense. Anyone who has watched the last month knows the Saints are a better team right now, additionally.

LOL you must not get the Saints game where you are, because anyone who watched their game on Sunday would have to disagree with this comment

Keep in mind, the Packers played without FOUR key offensive players today that in all likilhood will play against the Saints in the playoffs........................

LT CLIFTON
RB STARKS
WR JENNINGS
RT BULAGA

You are correct, RIGHT NOW, the Saints probably are a better team than GB..................this may and probably will not be the case come playoff time when the Packers get all of these guys back, as well as a couple guys on the DEFENSIVE side of the ball.

They were never the best team of all time before this loss. Typical over reaction by the talking heads in the studios.
