Did you miss when he wanted to go and about ran up the ass of the horse in front of him? It was pretty clear that he was never the same once he got out of that mess.
the race was lost in the first 1/4 mile when he checked twice and nearly had to pull up and then bumped the seven horse. the pulling up at the end had no effect, although it was strange, on the outcome. BB was not cashing a check.

did anyone notice the final time? incredibly slow with a last 3/8 in 36

It makes perfect sense, they fixed the race so that they could take a potential $500,000 a pop stud and turn him into a $100,000 stud at best, there for losing $400,000 X 50 mares a year for 10 years, thats only comes out to $200,000,000 (minimum), I'm sure they covered that in offshore wagers yesterday, not to mention the IPO of IEAH had they had a triple crown winner on their roster. Yep anyone whose rational can see the Belmont was fixed...

Only takes getting to 1 person to fix a horse race.
Dont think Desormeaux doesnt owe some people. Google his ride for the triple crown on Real Quiet..
Not only could it have happened yesterday that may not have been the 1st time he's done it....

guys i believe that alot of sporting events are being fixed on a regular basis everyday. Thats my opinion and if alot of you dont want to believe that then you must be living in a coma and dont know anything about money and human nature. Humans have been corrupt since they have been on this planet. To think corruption isnt happening in sports is insane.
Okay with that said, the owners would have to be smokin crack to throw this race. They stood to make hundreds and hundreds of millions by having a triple crown winner. Two things happened here, the horse was just plain tired and didnt have anything left for this race. It was 90 something degrees out with high humidity and you are asking a horse to run a mile and half, after running 2 other races in 5 weeks. He was also going up against fresh horses which changes alot of things.
Also i truly believe that his foot was worse off then what they wanted to say, reason being if those jerkoffs said the horses foot wasnt 100 percent, could you imagine the uproar that would have happened even before the race considering what happened to eight belles. Those guys would have been lynched before the race was even run if they kept the horse entered. I believe they knew the foot was bad, told everybody it was okay because they wanted to take a shot that the horse could still pull it off, but if the horse didnt have it, they wanted him pulled up to make sure nothing could happen to him.
If there was heavy money wagered on the 38-1 winner, then books around the world would have been talking about. These guys didnt fix the race so they could bet on another horse. they wanted the triple crown, the prestige and huge money that came with it.
This is one time where i can honestly say am sure this sporting event wasnt fixed. Horse was hurt and we will never know that he was. This dirty secret will go to the graves of the people in the know.

I would think that to make the "fix" worthwhile, there would be some irregular wagers being placed.

One thing I noticed was the BB jockey following the race seemed nervous and began ranting how much he respected horses that won the triple crown and how difficult it was!

Lap, Just Like you said early in this Thread.

You have people that THOUGHT this was Easy Money and a Sure thing, and went on to bet the "Farm"
Now they are trying to Look at the Big Picture, Without a " Looking Glass "
It was this, it was That, It was FIXED !!

Nothing !! I Repeat NOTHING is a SURE THING...Specially Horse Racing !!

Shit ! in my day, I remember some drivers trying to Fix a Race up in Monticello back in 1983. And they messed it up and didn't Cash !

A couple of factors that probably added to his poor performance. |Acting up in his stall, and the ride he got early in the race. Both probably took a good bit out of the horse.

Few Belmont Things I saw...

1. The middle of the track was like quicksand, the rail was very good to be at.

2. The heat was unfucckingreal.

3. Water pressure to track was shut down at around 2pm. Toilets were a mess. Honestly, fuucking gross.

4. Clubhouse was a fashion runway. Fuccking hot in there too.

5. Desormeax rode his races like he was sick. He also pulled up another horse earlier in the day. He was riding his mounts not to fall off...Horrible dislpay or riding for the day. He should have just ridden Brown and thats it.

6. The track maintenance people barely had enough water to water the track, the track did not look the usual rich dark brown. It was really deep.

7. Desormeax rode Brown bad in the Belmont, choked him the whole first 3/16....

Dutrow was a mess before the race, he actually went to sit in the wrong box twice. I wonder if Dutrow was a little high himself. He did not look good...Maybe heat, but he just looked bad.

I think the combination of the heat and no winstrol did him in.

Oh and by the way, the animal people were pretty good in their demonstration. Signs were good, and they acted right.
The one sign "Big Brown", the Barry Bonds of Horse Racing, I thought was kinda funny.

Weirdest thing I saw...Show pool at opening had 600,00 for denis of cork, and 1.1 million on big brown, I thought there we be alot more of a difference.

A lot of theories there. For all we know a bee could have crawled up his nose and stung him inside his nostrils. Hey don't laugh...it's possible.
