In this situation you could be right, but to say it never happens is a pretty ridiculous thing to say.

NOBODY SAID IT NEVER HAPPENS. IT WAS SAID IT DIDN'T HAPPEN YESTERDAY.
ACUALLY, THEIRS A FIX AT SOME LEVEL ALMOST EVERY DAY AT A TRACK SOMEWHERE.

It makes perfect sense, they fixed the race so that they could take a potential $500,000 a pop stud and turn him into a $100,000 stud at best, there for losing $400,000 X 50 mares a year for 10 years, thats only comes out to $200,000,000 (minimum), I'm sure they covered that in offshore wagers yesterday, not to mention the IPO of IEAH had they had a triple crown winner on their roster. Yep anyone whose rational can see the Belmont was fixed...

I think it's ridiculous to even suggest that someone would fix a race. What would anybody have to gain from doing such a thing?

Sincerely,

We're not talking about fixing a $3,000 Claimer at Penn National for a chance to collect $30,000, This suggestion was that the biggest shot these guys will ever have at a payday was fixed because they can somehow profit more by losing. NOTE: Nowhere does anyone show or explain how a profit can be made by fixing the Belmont.

I'm not saying the race was fixed. All I'm saying is that I am very surprised that the POSSIBILITY has yet to be raised in the major media. I doubt that it could happen for all the reasons we mentioned. Maybe we need to wait until Monday for all the sports talk radio conspiracy theorists to weigh in.

I've never seen anyone sweat like that trainer. I'm guessing he may have had a few $$ riding on that race as well.

When does the major media bring up "the fix" even when the result of something was fishy? Why in the world would it even be brought up in the case of this race??????

Did you miss when he wanted to go and about ran up the ass of the horse in front of him? It was pretty clear that he was never the same once he got out of that mess.

I felt that the horse never fully extended his right rear leg after that incident. Even after looking at the replay. Even after watching the horse being led off the track the right rear leg never looked like it had in the previous 2 races.

Florida. We have this thing called air conditioning down here that's a pretty cool invention. Even my gym is air conditioned.

I think it was like knocking over the chess board when you see that any move you make will put you into checkmate.

In other words Kent D was a sore loser and needed an excuse.

At least ride out your mount even if your following the horses that follow the horses.

Not saying it was rigged but there was obvious money to be made on any exotic that didnt include the favorite, Casino drive was the only other horse that wasnt a huge underdog and he was an early scratch.

So.........

All the talk about a Fix !! It is Highly Unlikely that they would even think about a Fix in a Big Race like this.
Just Doesn't happen ! End of Story !

If that b the case why wasn't the sale of BB 4 $50 last week talked about? Expand on " A race like this"? If your saying other races other then the TC are honest why would'nt the Preakness be straightforward?

Just like ICAUITUA stated, If you Asked me if Horse racing is Fixed ?
I would tell you that at Smaller Tracks, in Smaller Races like
"Overnight Races" ( nightly races ) $3k -$50K Claimers. My Answer would be YES !! and I know for a FACT ! that some are.

But there are Also times when a Trainer will Hold Back a horse from winning, waiting for the Right time to let his horse go and Cash a Ticket

Also, a Trainer can Play the " Condition Game " The Condition game is when your horse has made Too Much money ( Earned money ) and is way up in a Class ( Condition Race )
To bring him down in Earnings, they only either want to pick up a small Check or stay out of the Purse money All together.
Because the Conditions of most races are something like this..............N/W of $10,000 L 6 Starts
In Harness Racing, horses earn from 1st - 5th
Anyway, they can start losing money from their 6th race from the top
If a Horse let's say has a Win on the 6th race from the top, they can stay out of the money this race, Lose that Money Earned and Next Start could Drop them in for a N/W of $6,500 L 6

Now with Claimers !! You can stay in the Same Class Every Week, and Win Every week. But more then likely, your Horse would get Claimed.

So My point is, Just Like ICAUITUA Stated again. No point At ALL to Fix a BIG race like the Belmont and Lose what they have coming to them in the Near Future.

I'm all about low expectations

no doubt, that's why i'm just pointing at this race... certainly not trying to claim horse racing is a squeaky clean sport.
