I think the point is he is willing to be on backups where as some people see a starter out and think they get blown out
Nowhere does he say this guy is some elite passer that gives them a much better shot than the starter

I didn’t say he said the backup was “some elite passer that gives them a much better shot than the starter”.

You do understand that even if he got the info on the starter wrong it doesn't matter because they were in as good or better situation should he be wrong about the starter playing. The play wasn't because of the back up Plus, he got the good line because it seemed the back up was playing
He was right either way
