Not so sure about that. The DOJ can demand they return all monies. Profits gained illegally would have to be returned

The one thing I know about the DOJ is that they are GREEDY cocksuckers! If they deemed that the profits were obtained illegally they would want the money for themselves and not want it returned to the clients who lost it.

Trust me on this, the 8+ million that they got from me and my co-defendants where seized and ended up in thier pocket and not back to the clients we had. Hence the civil suit that we are facing now.

I have 8600 dollars at BoS.
On a scale of 1-10 1 being totally fucked, 10 being guaranteed, what are my chances of seeing my money?

Sean- Sorry, I have been out for a while. I was with the tout service that got busted here in Florida for doing doing things that we were not even doing (kickbacks), but once they got our money they wanted to keep it and we were all so stupid (spineless) to fight it. Knowing now what I know, I wish we would have fought it.

Long story short.......

We were getting Bank Wire transfers from VIP sports at a clip of about 150k per week from our clients paying us from them and it sent up a red flag. At the same time we were being sued by another guy for 2 million that he had sent us. They started an investigation and got a hold of a salesman who said some things that he was not supposed to and then the investigation took full swing. They believed we were getting kickbacks from VIP from our clients (which we were not). They arrested everyone and seized all of our assets that were available to them. Once they figured out that we were not getting the kickbacks it was too late and they pressured everyone into pleading guilty to violation of the wire wager act and that was it. All touts got scared thinking that it was the end of the industry, but as you know, no other touts got busted. Most touts stopped refering clients to offshore books altogether.

Hey people! Pay attention! BoS is not the owner of every book in Costa Rica, they are the ones in trouble, not every book that is located in such country. & if this books are telling you that every book in Costa Sica is involved in this matter: NOT TRUE! They just dont want to share the business they are losing.

I thought the clarification was needed...

they havent declared bankruptcy so technically they are supposed to repay client accounts upon request.

when/if they went to bankruptcy then they wouldnt be able to client accounts, then depends on your claim - clients would be unsecured.

as i said i believe the govt will say pay out the us clients first then pay the fine, if you have any money left over then operate your book.

:lolBIG: Wishful thinking and I hope I'm wrong but you honestly think if they are forced to close down permanently and even if they don't declare banko, the govt' is going to tell them to pay out US players?! What better way can they send a message than seeing people lose their ass there with no recourse. Remember what we are doing is supposedly illegal so we got just what we deserve is the stance the govt' will take. If they do decide to let players get back their money you better believe it's gonna be some type of sting or setup with IRS and local authorities involved. In a nutshell, players are phucked either way you go and it will never be the same offshore anyway period. Our national govt' unfortunately is a WORLD govt' and bullies everyone else onto it's knees in mercy.

the part you dont quite seem to understand is the govt takes action on complaints. this is a very serious thing once your name gets on their list.

so for them to turn around and bury thousands of americans by not repaying the funds would be almost like committing suicide.

they claim to have the funds well the time will come soon to cough up.

as ive said ive been personally involved in this sort of thing for 8 months now so Ive seen what goes on more than the average person

as i mentioned in another thread - i wont be commenting any further - ive tried to pass on my experience withthe us govt and how they proceed in these type cases.

i hope everyone gets their money back and proceeds with more caution next time - bos was a piece of crap, they will always be a piece of crap and i hope this gets rid of these crooks once and for all.

Too Funny

Anyone who think the this is going to play out in this order is nuts.
Pay all US Player and then pay fines.

The way it will work is more like this Pay the fines and then pay the U.S. Customers and then the U.S. will find a way to fine them somemore.

U.S. Gov. always gets the fines 1st and then whatever that is left is spread out 90% of the time there is not much left.

Yeah, right. I'm sure the current administration wants to be knows as the one who stole all of the post up funds of US players.

Come on....think about this from a political\public opinion viewpoint. The DoJ is going to act like a hero by getting everyone's deposits back.

The sky is not falling.

There is a silver lining here - no more unsolicited junk mail at your home from BOS. They would not take me off the mailing list no matter how many times I bitched. And I only used their book 1 time and that was in 2001. Yet, they NEVER stopped filling my home mail box.
