yeah 1-8, thats why I started to listen to albums like 'jeru da damager' and 'group home' over and over just to listen to prim's beats. you are right, code of the streets amoung many others he did just pack so much emotion and feel into a beat they have tons of replay value. thats why its just magic to me when him and nas get together to do songs like "the world is yours" and "nas is like" its just magic to me to hear the two best at what they do colab.

ahh yeahhhh ..."it's yours"...I got the jazzy jay 12" ..yeah that first Nas is Klassic...Ny state of Mind
.yep it's a shame Jeru and them fell out awhile back, but it's not many of us that would listen to a Jeru . After the Sun Rises in the East came out I thought we were looking at the second coming...

Can't forget Buckshot Shorty and BlackMoon the entire BCC for that matter Smif -N- Wessun still gets much play... I used to say early Hip Hop was the best...but between 92-96 MAN...I can rattle off some fresh ass shit that we just won't hear again

Makaveli the 7-day Theory is a masterpiece, it's a combination of everything put into one.
At first I didn't like Makaveli because I didnt get it. But now it scares the shit out of me everytime I go back to listen to it.

You mean there is actually a difference in quality between rap artists and songs? I thought as long as the bass was turned up high enough to shake the trunk lid off the car and crystallize the back window that it qualified as good listening to you guys..

naw marco, I usually have it all on even or close to it with the stuff i listen to. im sure a lot of these other guys are the same. i was never huge on bass, i just want a system with overall great sound and clarity that hits all the frequencies evenly like any other big fan of music. . .i mean on some of the older stuff, the production isnt as tight and you cant help but fiddle with the EQ, but for the most part I want to hear it like they intended it.
