Max, you know on the Life after Death album the story he told about screwing the chic and the boyfriend comes home that plays for the Knicks was a true story. The player he was talking about but never mentioned his name in the rap was none other than Charles Oakley. Hiliarous rap, gotta find that CD and listen to it.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

Interesting topic.....

I was never into West Coast style rap but the best rap album I've purchased was Dr. Dre, The Chronic.

I grew up listening to all styles of music from Elton John to Public Enemy to Depeche Mode and on the rap side I pretty much listened to all East Coast (read NY area) performers then and even now. BUT DAMN....

The Chronic was classic and brought a whole new vibe to rap/hip hop. It was the first new and exciting thing to happen to rap in a while. I still periodically pop in that CD.

Honorable Mentions:
Anything by Biggie
Anything by Tupac

Makaveli the 7-day Theory is a masterpiece, it's a combination of everything put into one.
At first I didn't like Makaveli because I didnt get it. But now it scares the shit out of me everytime I go back to listen to it.
Black Jesus lol

EDG-

Tupac's stuff is scary. The guy was an artistic genius. It amazes me that so much has been put out since his death.

quote:
I think you're up in Canada (trying to remember and apologize if I'm wrong) so I don't know if they're going up there anytime soon or not but they tour a lot. If they come in your area I'm sure I can get you backstage with the bands. He's really cool about getting the VIP/Backstage passes but they're usually for large festivals and stuff since that is where most of the jam bands seem to play.

ur right, I am in Canada... Ottawa.. I just checked out their tour schedule on the website... I often travel to upstate new york... or Vermont for shows... Syracuse, Rochester even Albany... much further than that though is a bit too much of a hike for me...

Looks like the closest they are coming is Detroit & second closest is Philly...a bit too far for me this month (besides I am scared of those cities...lol...) I think Detroit has more Murders in a month than our entire Country has in a Decade!!!

Detroit is bad....my stepbrother is a teacher in the inner city and all my steprelatives from that part of the family have always lived in or around Detroit. The stepuncle was on the Detroit PD bomb squad for 30 years (we told him he should have gotten a lot more medals lol).

Hey my city isn't that bad.

Well then again if you're a Sens fan....you probably don't want to walk around with a Bonk jersey on (or you'll probably get bonked).

actually sportbet... true story here...

I AM A HUGE FLYERS FAN!!!

have been a huge Flyers fan since 1987 the year that Ron Hextall won the Conn Smythe Trophy in their riveting Stanley Cup Finals Against the All star oilers with Messier, Kurri, Gretzky & the bunch....

Edmonton had a 3-1 lead on the Flyers & thought it was a done deal as they walked past the Flyers dressing room with cases of champagne...

Well the Flyers fought back valiently & won games 5 & 6 to set up a game 7... (Hextall was a machine...) The classless Fans in Edmonton booed when they announced he was Conn smythe winner & I sat in my living room in tears...

Ever since then I have been a HUGE flyers fan, of Course I love the Sens aswell now that we have a team... but FLYERS are always my first love in Hockey....

P.S Bonk was traded to the Habs...

P.P.S would love to catch a Flyers game with ya some day... next time I am coming down to Philly will definately let you know... You do the same if you are ever coming up to Ottawa...

I knew about Bonk..he just always ticked me off when he was on the ice for them in the playoffs the last few years.

That's awesome that you are a fan of the Flyguys. Yeah 87 sucked bad...we always ended up playing these dynasty-like great teams in the finals. If the Flyers lose they usually went out with a bang to the best team.

Game 6 kicked ass I still love it when ESPN Classic replays it. I remember the airport footage when they came back to the city the fans were going insane.

Nobody liked Hexy anyways except our fans. Even when he left you could tell he wasn't going to be gone for long!

Yeah let me know if you get down here I can get some pretty good seats for games there. Ottawa is way up there man you must freeze your tail off. My buddy is a big fan of Canada though so he would probably find multiple reasons to go up there.

I've never been there but I've been just about everywhere else in Ontario (Toronto, London, Hamilton...they're all pretty much on the same highway from what I remembered).
