So if you determine the best pitcher today...and he's in the AL...and tomorrow gets traded to the NL....then he's no longer the best pitcher? Interesting.
I don't quite get this way of thinking. The way I see it all the Santana followers take their cue from baseball tonight. I'm not saying he's a bum, top 5 pitcher without doubt, but there is no way he is the best in the game. He has relyed heavily on his change (probably the best in baseball), but now hitters don't seem nearly as fooled by him.
You know every time Peavy takes the bump you are going to get 7 strong with 2 runs allowed at the most. He does not walk guys and keeps the ball in the yard.
