5 probably.

I like Kamara over Barkley though. Just a higher floor and also he can be handcuffed via Ingram (and Ingram is probably flex viable even when they're both healthy depending on roster sizes) If Barkley goes down, the Giants are just gonna rotate 2-3 clowns and it'll be a mess.

Also, Kamara floor is just a lot higher and I think sometimes people make the mistake of trying to win the league in rd 1 rather than just try to make a good pick. Barkley might be the next L Bell but at that pick valuation you're really banking on it that he is, especially given the Giants QB/OL situation.

I don't understand why everyone thinks this. There is almost no way Kamara get over 250 touches this year if Ingham is still involed and Barkley likely sees 350 touches plus. Besides that the chances that Kamara scores at the rate he did last year is almost impossible. He scored a TD basically once every 15 times he touched the ball last year. By contrast over the course of Le'Veon Bell's career he has scored 1 TD roughly every 37 times he touches the ball. Do people really believe that he is going to keep scoring TD's at that pace? Either he has to get way more touches or its almost certain he will score less TD's this year imo.

Picking 7th.

Couldn't decide between Kamara and Barkley and this guarantees me one of them without the decision and a better pick on the flip.

Pick 7 will all but guarantee me a stud rb and a stud WR. Someome like AJ green, michael Thomas, devante Adam's, or Mike Evans should be available in round 2

Then maybe a Doug Baldwin or amari cooper type guy in round 3.

I could live with starting my team with Kamara, AJ Green, Doug Baldwin.

We shall see

Anybody have strong opinions on QB? Or a mid to late round ppr RB sleeper?

i just drafted 12th the other day in a regular snake, i ended up with obj and michael thomas. but your right, rb value was extremely weak anytime it came back to me. I drafted alex collins at 36 and snagged carson around 60th. Then I just loaded up with a bunch of fliers/ppr rbs........ jamaal williams, terik cohen, james white, powell.

for what its worth, yahoo gave my team the only A grade for the draft in my league and I have highest projected total, but we all know they have to produce and stay injury free.

Those draft grades are the kiss of death. Most teams I see with a '"C" or worst usually out perform the "A" grades. Most of their analytics are wrong.

We are in round 7 of our draft. The RBs were drafted in this order:

Gurley
Bell
Kamara
Elliott
Fournette
Hunt
McCaffery
Johnson
Gordon
Cook
Drake
Barkley

Kamara is slated for 688 rec, 697 rush, 75 receptions, and 11.5 TDs. McCaffery is slated for 419 rec, 1033 rush, 52 reception, and 10.2 TDs. Barkley is at 354 receiving, 1072 rushing, 43 receptions, and 9.9 TDs.

Clearly the value in Kamara is in his receptions and the TDs scored over the other two. Obviously it depends on your scoring system. But Kamara will be just fine.

With Jordy Nelson gone, and Cobb clearly showing his age, it's hard to imagine anyone not realizing that Adams is the go-to guy in Green Bay. It'll be a break out year for him.

I like other Packers too because of the targets vacuum that is gonna come from Jordy gone and Cobb getting older.

Montgomery I could see being a really good ppr back in the late rds. Almost like a cheat code if they use him like a Percy Harvin type. 3rd down back/3rd WR.

And Jimmy Graham I could see having 1 last big year with Rodgers. Wilson/him just didn't really click with style. He could be a TD machine in GB, more of a .5ppr/standard scoring format guy though. Rodgers used Jared Cook a lot the 2nd half of 2016. Really the only good TE he's had in his career unless you count Jermichael Finley years ago. Although I would add he doesn't really seem to be going at a discount in drafts the way some of the other old TE's are (Olsen, Walker)

GB D should be better bringing in Pettine and they made a few upgrades so they might be passing a little less though.

Right there with ya on that one. Especially the Graham comment. He was an absolute stud in New Orleans. The Seattle thing never worked out (don't think he and Wilson were a match). Rodgers could turn him back into a top 3 TE.

Nelson had 482 yards last year and cobb had more yards last year then the year before. That combined with the fact they added Jimmy Graham (who rogers is on record as saying he wasn't used correctly in Seattle) doesn't exactly make me think that Adams is going to have some monster year compared to what he did last year. I'd take Adams over Green but basically see him doing about the same this year to maybe slightly better. Side note, Cobb is 2 years younger than antonio brown and AJ Green and a year younger then Julio Jones so I'm not sure how he is old.

If you're in a league where David Johnson was the 8th RB off the board after guys like McCaffrey, Hunt and Fornette and Barkley was drafted after Cook and Drake then I don't even know what to say. Could those guys outscore Johnson or Barkley, sure I guess, but basically nobody thinks that happens.

Cobb has had a lot of injuries and that alone will age you (regardless of the actual age). Brown has been pretty much injury free (he had a partially torn calf and a concussion so considerably less than Cobb so no comparison). Cobb arguably had his worst year last year as the previous year he played two less games (610 yards in 2016 - 13 games, 653 in 2017 - 15 games). Not to hard to figure out that he's deteriorating. So that leave Graham and Adams. I think logically one can conclude he should have a better year.

That's the order they were drafted. Clearly most people understand that the Giants offensive line is subpar. Barkley ranks no higher than 9th on the charts I use (so yeah, a couple of those guys could have drafted Barkley before but not much earlier). Admittedly, I don't really blame them on Barkley. With that line protecting Eli, he won't have that much time to throw. He better hope OBJ gets open quick. And if the passing game is off, that's not going to bode well for the rushing game. Johnson went later for similar reasons (lack of trust in Bradford and a running back coming off a severe injury). I wasn't worried about it as I already had Gurley. I already gave you the charts I have on Barkley. Plenty of people think he'll be outscored by the 8 in front of him.
