I work right by Southwind and there aren't any bbq places right by here but the closest would have to be Commisary. If that is the place it is a small place right by the train tracks in Germantown. The only other closest places would be Neely's or Corkeys which you would probably remember. Im going to bet you went to Commisary and I would agree that their ribs aren't the best but they do have one of the best pulled pork sandwiches in town.

Most people here will tell you that the Rendevous has the best dry ribs and it is between Corkeys and Neely's for wet ribs although there are a ton of other places that would beg to differ. Alot of it comes down to which sauce you like and I will tell you after going to all of these places many times they can be hit or miss depending upon the day of the week you show up.


i think it was the commisary, i know there was a lot of autographs by the register (i remember david gossett and mikelson were there forsure). i was at southwind to play in a golf tournament and david gossett was there, he said it was the best in town so i had to try it out. i had the ribs so that might explain why i wasnt to amazed. guess i should have gotten the pulled pork
