Any dream experts here? Because last night I dreamt the Belmont Stakes was won by a horse named THE FAIL SAFE and paid $171.00 to win. Dream was vivid but focus was on the result and not the race running itself. Makes absolutely no sense to me. Got up this morning, checked my database for that name, thinking I must have seen it subliminally. Nope. Doesn't exist. Went online to pedigree site. Nope. Never existed.
So what am I to make of all this?? I don't play video games or anything that could explain the name. Doesn't appear to be any anagram. Ideas?
And why can't we dream something that is useful ..... like a real future event!

Along your same train of thought, I might listen for some commentor to use the phrase FAIL SAFE is regards to some bet strategy they're touting. Like, "I gonna play Justify but as a fail safe I'm using the blah, blah, blah over top in the superfecta."

Wtf. Went to Longacres all the time here in Renton WA. Always a blast. Sad when they tore it down and build office buildings. Now Emerald Downs here in Auburn WA since 1996. Does it sound like I know nothing? Gary Baze and Vicky Baze when they rode at Longacres. Good times. Gary Boulanger and Chris Lamance and Ricky Frazier.

Breaking down numbers inside a pedigree , by far a say NOT A SAY ALL ....just something I noticed ....YOUR CALL ....

Let's see if that holds true in the Belmont ...

I look at the linebreeding inside a pedigree for percentages of 4 % or more of all the horses in the Belmont Stakes ...I went all the way back to the year 2000 ... previous Belmont Winners ... No Winners had 5 % or more of Secretariat in their pedigree ...

So if considering this small angle ... not bullet proof by any means .... the horse that have over the 5 % Secretariat and should not win are

Tenfold ... this is the horse the thread is about .... he has 7% Secretariat in his linebreeding ...

Restoring Hope ....no surprise

Noble Indy .... few wise guys like this horse

So ...no horse in 11 Years has won or placed with 5 % or more of Secretariat in their linebreeding chart ....

Checking back ... lots of good stuff here.

I'm halfway between Emerald Downs and Portland Meadows and even though Portland Meadows doesn't have any live racing until the fall/winter, I can bet on ponies AND dogs in Oregon, so Portland Meadows is where I'll be. My daughter and I already checked it out a few weeks ago for the first time and had a ball. She and I and about 60 old male degenerates enjoying a Friday evening. Good times. She started coming up with her own prop bets on which guys would yell at the screen the loudest and who would be the first to spill their drink.

That's some real world education right there.
