Good answer Frog, but let's try and guide the new posters as well. You will not learn to make money middling and scalping overnight either. If you feel you are at a point which you can win by doing these things, then start with very small amounts of money until you realize if it is for you or not. As Frog describes, the frame of mind must be right to be real successful and there is plenty of time involved. Definately not for the majority and you will have to be on your toes and have your nose to the screen.

It is just like a stock, except the market does not close. You could think you were smart to take a +3 overnight, only to find out it moved to +5 the next morning. It is not a reccommended approach. There are inherent risks, late injury information, other scenarios that will hurt the overnighter badly. I would think it is a do not try this at home. Or paper play it, for sometime. It is a totally different process picking a side, than speculating line movement. The casual bettor has no business betting overnights. I would strongly advise against it to almost anyone, and tried to stress I will not even take them on, unless fully prepared. Better?

Yes Rainbow, I think that is the case. They do not want to be double hit on the same number on steam. At first they said I was doing it, calling and the internet. When I said I have never done that in my life, they checked and found out. It was someone else. My point is I am faster on the internet by far. Probably already got bet down while clerk is picking up receiver she dropped. My question is why not put the game/number on hold, as soon as it is called out? This just seems to me a book blaming the player, when their own procedures do not protect them. We are not talking betting wrong numbers here. Or double hitting. I just want my internet bet. When I get it, I get suspended. When I try the phones, I miss probably 80%. My take is, either let me bet the internet, or get the phones working better. My volume there has decreased dramatically. But I try to work with the books, so I am stuck on this issue. I think when you look at the overall picture, it is just when I am in front or hit at the same time as the steam. Probably a low percentage of my action. I'll live with that...

Mybookie and Millenium are notorious for having players call-in after hitting nba games with injuries pending shortly before games begin. I also had no problem being call in only, but get the darned phones working. Millenium wasnt too bad, but calling in to mybookie is a waste of time hold, hold, and hold some more......if they put you to call in, collect your winnings and run. Millenium did finally drop me (they did pay quickly).
I spoke with Millenium supervisor several times and explained to him don't hang a number if you are concerned about it being played prior to injury status. Usually the number tells the customers whether a guy is going to play.
Ive been with cris for long time with no problem and no problems getting paid. Side note: no problems sending money either! Also play at Pinny for overnight action and been using sportsbook for about a year (no problems with money from sbook either). I haven't collected much from piny for their line is murderous, but the few times I have requested payouts the money was here in a flash.

Even with syndicates taking shots you can make money balancing, fading etc. Greenhead will just take and take, leaving you in a bad business spot. He is one person who I met through this forum, that walks the walk, and he has earned my utmost respect. I feel priveleged to have him as an associate. I choose my hunting and fishing partners very carefully. On top of being sharp he is a person of high intergrity, like Spiro, and is just a good guy.

Rainbow,No disrespect to anyone,Im trying to correct you in a statement you made that Spiro will NEVER cut off anyone.I played with him for years.Never, ever a problem.He made a business decision to cut it off.He is a smart,smart man,and very wealthy.But he new I would beat him and there was nothing he could do about it.He couldnt balance the books as they say.

Let assume that a player beat Spiro on a consistent basis. The player does not made steam bets, syndicate bets, beard or circumvent limits. He is just a player that achieve a long term winning % from his plays. Now there is any possibility that this "type" of player will ever be booted off? And at Pinny?
