Bash Date Change Announcement

Thank you to everyone who has been waiting patiently for us to get the dates and hotel sorted for our 2007 Rx Bash.

Just as we were about to 'sign on the dotted line' and book our Bash at the Flamingo, circumstances beyond our control forced us to move the dates.

We are now committed to September 7/8 (FOOTS!) and are awaiting revised quotes from three different hotels. (The Flamingo is still our top and most likely choice, followed by Hooters and the Tropicana.) Because this date change was only brought to our attention last Monday, there may be a short wait for the quotes and final announcement.

To everyone that has booked their airfare by the time of this post, we are offering one of two options:

1. We will either pay the fee associated with changing/cancelling your flight (upwards of $100) and pay for any fare increases you may incur to reschedule for September, if applicable.

OR

2. For those that will be unable to attend in September, have their flights booked, and still wish to travel to Vegas in August, we will pay for your hotel (same hotel as Bash, two nights) and host a mini-bash of sorts, depending on the total numbers.

When we make the official announcement, we will also include details for obtaining airfare rebates and will include instructions for those who 'reserved' their spot in our Early Bird thread.

Please do not try to obtain rebates or confirm/cancel your reservation now. We will start that process when an official announcement is made.

We urge everyone to not book additional flights until we make an OFFICIAL announcement. We anticipate being able to do so early next week.

Wil since I havent been to a bash. Is this thing worth scrapping with the wife for the new week since I will have to try and change all our plans we had for the original weekend.

Its gonna be painful and just wondered if you thought it was worth it.

Timetopay, as a first timer I think you would have more fun meeting people at the main function in September so I would have the discussion with the Mrs. and try to explain it wasn't your fault. Try to make the Sept. event if possible.

For the record the date change was something beyond all of our control and everyone here at the Rx.com deeply apologises to anyone inconvienceinced by the new arrangements.

Xpanda has the details involved and is dealing with all of this while also in the midst of some other very pressing private issues that require a lot of her time. She has put yeoman's work into this year's Bash and is still looking at plenty more.

Nah, but I'm starting an internship in late August...was going to start it pretty much after the initial Bash date. It's gonna be real tough to get out to Vegas only a week or two into it. That'd look pretty bad. We'll see.

And yeah, I really don't want to miss the Skins' home opener...but I guess we'll see what happens.
