on a card like that i dont really know if it would be worth wild to send it in for mariano, id check ebay sales for similar non pack pulled autos that have been authenticated, if you have a big sports show by you, you can probably get it done for like $20 by someone such as jsa, if you mail it to them with shipping probably run you $30 or so.

Thanks Kidman,It shouldn't be hard for me to get authentication should it?I know for a fact it is real. How much would this cost?
:toast:

You can send it to PSA/DNA and have them authenticate it for you. I don't think you can post links, but just search PSA/DNA.

Of course I also like my Gordie Howe even though it is not a high book value auto:

Nolan Ryan error card

I have a 1991 Pacific Nolan Ryan card with silver sides along with Mike Stanley in the pic. On the back it says "Bryan (should have said Ryan) and Stanley". Card is in Mint condition. Worth?

I collect all sports (even NASCAR). You really do get quite a rush when you open up a box and get a huge card. Besides the Ripken card (which I did pull the redemption for), two of the biggest cards that I have actually pulled have been the following:

2007 Topps Performance Adrian Peterson Rookie Auto (I sent in to Beckett to have it graded)

2009 Topps Magic Dorsett, Marino and McCoy Triple Auto SP

thanks, thats one of the ones i know i still have.

as for your error card above, id say next to nothing, error cards are rarely ever worth anything unless its something controversial, like the billy ripken fuck face card or the old 90 proset nfl cards where it looks like a dick is hanging out of a guys pants

I always get a kick out of that Billy Ripken card:

I have been getting steals on older stuff to finish sets on eBay. Even those, you have to know the dealer. I dont need mint on the older ones, just nice. I have 2/3+ of every set minimum from '56 on to '69, and complete sets to now.

Used to be a heavy hitter about 25 years ago.

Had complete sets of Topps from 1954 to 1965.

Also had a complete set of Bowmans 1955. These were pretty cool. They were the ones that had the picture of the player inside a tv set.

I think my favoite years were 1954 Topps, 1957 Topps, and the 1955 Bowman.
