Ruth was also a drunk and a womanizer but what else is new. Pretty sure there are a lot of stories behind many of the well known sports figures and even the lesser known figures. Kobe comes immediately to mind.

probably me...since i'm wasting time in this thread. i just get so pissed at this guy who makes millions of dollars playing a kids game and is a big ass when he should be thanking his lucky stars he has the ability to play at the highest level. then, he cheats...he wasn't happy hitting 35 homeruns a year...he wanted to hit 70. so, he did whatever was necessary and he got there. he signed a huge contract and gets paid more in two months than i will make in a lifetime. then he gets caught cheating and blames the media.

Would like to see Bonds return as well, but from a local perspective, at this moment truly feel that there won't be enough of this season left to warrant his return this year. As for next year, perhaps. Would be an interesting proposition bet though.
