Walk,

I am in no way telling Hollywood, CRIS or Cascade that they are responsible for bailing out these players that got screwed by BM or any other book in CR.

What I am saying is, the above shops should push for some type of regulation in CR.

It has been going on way too long that these books, yes those books and the government allowing criminals come down in CR to swindle people of their hard earn money. For example, Pyramid and scoresports have been screwing their players for years now and shit has been done about it.

It's like seeing someone getting raped but saying she deserved it for whatever reason or it's not your responsibility to report it.

These top shops should start pressuring the CR governament into passing some stringent laws before one can open up a sportsbook there.

The problem stems from people not doing thier HOMEWORK before sending a BOOK the QUID. You gotta do your homework.

And in the CASE of BLUEMARLIN, a BOOK that has been around for years, well you will never prevent that. NEVER..........Its gonna happen and there is not a DAMN thing anypone can do about it.

It SUX, but you accept it and move on. its not the OTHERS BOOKS responsibility to BAIL OUT anyone.

There are plenty of SAFE BOOKS in Costa Rica

CRIS
Cascade
Rio
Grande
Delmar
Tradewinds
And others.......................But remember on any given day, any BOOK can just decide to call it QUITS. It SUX, but it happens.

Advice is keep you BAL at a minimum, do your homework.

This wont be the last time a BOOK thats been around for years, takes a shit.

Why should the " Good Books" in Costa Rica have to come forward and step to the plate .

It seems as if this is just a one way street and all those with funds in BM think that the other CR books should absorb the wrong doings of BM that is just not being realistic .

Why is it that the FORUM owners and there are many who took advertising revenue from this book and the others that went down previously are never held accountable in any way ? .

After all they are the ones who are supposed to know what is going down from their sources and be protecting the players interests .

I sympathize with any player who has lost funds because of BM or any other book closing its doors , however it was your choice to play there be it for bonuses or forum recommendations .

There are a myriad of well established books who offer smaller bonuses that you could have played at with much less risk involved , by rule of thumb more than a 10% bonus and you are getting into heated waters.

If you are bonus shopping then don't start crying when you get burnt , you guys never seem to learn that the bigger the bonus the sooner it will happen .

Lenny:

Thanks for the props, my man. I know you're in the business of making money while offering a honorable, reputable and solid service.

TruthT:

There are a couple o'things I would really like to discuss about your last post. You posted:

quote:
It has been going on way too long that these books, yes those books and the government allowing criminals come down in CR to swindle people of their hard earn money.

First of all: CASCADE, CRIS and HOLLYWOOD have something in common, they are BOOKMAKING shops, not immigration services. It's not withing their power to "allow or not allow" somebody in Costa Rica, a country that is supposed to have a sovereign government. You're pushing it a little bit right there buddy.

quote:
Pyramid and scoresports have been screwing their players for years now and shit has been done about it

Right on the money there: Tej from Pyramid and Score is a scumbag, as low as they come. Then again who's responsibility it is to police this fvcker? Certainly not Hollywood's, nor Cascade's or CRIS's.

quote:
What I am saying is, the above shops should push for some type of regulation in CR.

Read the above post where I reply to Intuition Bet. IB's idea of a Consortium is simple, yet viable. And most of the offshore players would trust a society like the one proposed above, especially if this society was to be backed up by a reknown accounting firma, that could run audits on the members.

Once such an organism was to be created and had gained power as a legal entity, the next step would be to make pressure on the Costa Rican politicians. After all, "the one paying the band, chooses the music". Hopefully, such a position is soon to be attained. This would be the same exact principle you refer to with the following part of your post: "These top shops should start pressuring the CR governament into passing some stringent laws before one can open up a sportsbook there.

quote:
It's like seeing someone getting raped but saying she deserved it for whatever reason or it's not your responsibility to report it.

Bad analogy there, my man. Remember a whore is a whore is a whore. Have you seen the list of players with Blue Marlin? The vast majority of these guys will middle out any bail-out plan and 6 months down the road they will lay in bed with the next bonus pimp. Bonus whores my man, deserve no help for having tried to fvck legitimate shops.

No pun intended, Sick...

Walk - Glad we see eye to eye on this.

But how and when will the books make this move towards forming a Consortium?

I think that they should move forward now without any involvement from the CR gov't, who'll probably have they're hands out for money as usual.

I think the best way for any player to know if he is in a good shop, is to ask 2 solid questions.
1. Find out if the shop has credit players. If the shop has credit players, the books would be interested in the shop if it goes under.Meaning you shouldn't get stiffed.

2. Refer to rule 1 but books that let you have unlimited amounts as a post up player are also risking maybe more then they can handle.Find out there limits and play with them.

Thank you General.

Maybe one way for advertisers to first promote there site here, is to check to see if they have credit players? If the book doesn't have credit players you should post to the rx readers that to proceed with caution. The shops that are advertising now,do alot of them have credit players or are they strickly post-up?

awesome baby,

If you read the SBR you would have found out that many books were ranked higher than blue marlin. Regarding the issue of another book taking over for blue marlin, I don't think anybody in their right mind would take over a sportsbook that just folded to payoff their customers.

Walk,

Great posts -- I nominate them for the post of the week award

awesome,

There are no guarantees and even if you do all your homework you can still get burned. You can also get burned if there is regulation.

I've been scammed for more than 95% of the posters here and so I am one of the first to stand up for players who have been ripped off, but to expect Hollywood, CRIS and others to pick up the tab is ridiculous. If your neighbor is complusive gambler and alcoholic but does a good job of concealing it and pisses his life away, are you expected to bail out his family? If you answer yes then your views are strange but at least they are consistent. If you answer no then your views are hypocritical to say the least.
