well yeah. But it was odd in that he did his time in WWII before he started actually playing.

so he was a rookie after the war and was age 23 when he got his start. So i'm not sure he missed as much playing time as guys like Ted Williams did...

This all depends on what you consider the all time home run record..Personally, I consider 61 and 755 as the numbers, not the cheating numbers Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, et al put up.. I think that possibly someone could hit 62 but don't think anybody will pass Hank Aaron for all time lead
