Unsubscribing to a thread

How do you UNsubscribe to a thread? Also, do you have a breakdown of your side and totals selections in basketball YTD? Thanks.

As to your questions, I will have to get back to you on the unsubscribing of threads. Regarding my basketball selections, I don't keep a breakdown of sides and totals. Only wins and losses.

Regarding your question "Unsubscribing To Threads", click on User CP on the above toolbar, then scroll down to "Subscribed Threads" and click on "List Subscriptions". If you have any "Subscribed Threads" you will see an option to "Unsubscribe". If you have no "Subscribed Threads" it will say "This Folder Is Empty".

OMT is there any way to add a Signature? If so How do you do it?

On the toolbar above you will see both FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and User CP. You will need to go to the User CP and follow the instructions below which I copied from the FAQ.

How do I set signatures, avatars and profile pictures?
You can set and change your signature, avatar and profile picture in the User Control Panel (providing the administrator has made these options available).
For signatures, click on 'Edit Signature' under the 'Settings and Options' area of the navigation bar within the User CP.

OMT,

With everyone's ability to access stats and stories for all the teams in the NCAA Tournament via the internet, how do the Vegas Cappers always seem to win the big bracket contests. Seems to me, by utilizing all the information that can be obtained through the internet, it would somewhat level the playing field against the Vegas Pros. Is it their experience, hunches, or luck that makes it seem that they always come out on top come March Madness? Also do you have any tips on how to fill out a successful bracket that may stand a chance to win in a March Madness Bracket Contest.

Thanks

The key to your question is that they are professionals and have the years of experience and even have paid scouts to assist them in matching up styles of play between teams. As to filling out a bracket, my style is more suited to looking at game by game, round by round, then an overall pre-tournament bracket contest.

Hi,
I'm so glad you have a newbie section! My friend is currently paying a PPH outfit in Costa Rica and has asked me to look into setting up a private site that we would manage ourselves. This obviously involves moving to Costa Rica, renting office space, hiring some workers, purchasing the hardware and software, etc. I work in IT and am willing to move so the real issue is the software. Do you know of any good companies that will provide the software for a reasonable price and not charge royalties? I've been searching but it's not an easy task. Several companies that I contacted never responded. I'm also confused about the line moving part of it. Are there options to have the lines downloaded and automatically update or is that why I see posts about lines managers? I visited the current operation and they have in house developers creating their own line moving software, but that wouldn't be an option for us right now.

Thanks so much for any help!

Welcome to the RX. I will have to look into this matter. Please be patient and I will respond back to you.

Hi OMT!

I have a question:

How long until I can view the NBA section of the Rx again with this user?

I pretty sure I got the boot from posting in the old "Liquid Return" thread when I was trying to warn people that LR and "The Legend Killer" were the same person, which turned out to be true...

All of that was quite a few months ago.

Thanks.

P.S. Looking forward to your Del Mar threads again this year. :103631605

Hey OMT,
Is it alright to track a capper that posts plays in this forum.

I am talking no comments, simply results...good or bad.

I can't remember what forum I saw that, but I am sure I read it. I have also emailed 2 mods, but no response.

Thanks,
Dan

Welcome to the RX. Let me make sure I understand. Do you want to create a thread that tracks a capper? If that is what you want to do, it will be impossible to stop comments (i.e. replys) from coming in and the fact that you are new to the RX certainly won't make it very pleasant for you. We have a tracking forum that is used by some of our veteran posters, myself included but it sounds like you have a particular capper in mind. Without naming names, am I understanding correctly what you want to do?

You understand what I am saying, but I don't want to get into comments, just actual results without comments. I am sure I read that somewhere. It explicitly said only plays that are posted on this site can be tracked, no bashing. I will abide by those rules.

I can send you more info if you like via email or pm.

Thanks,
Dan

I believe what you read is that cappers who post records can only track those plays posted on this site and not bring records from somewhere else. The no bashing is a standard rule in our Sports Forums but we still get a lot of it and have to moderate it regularly. Please understand that the only place where there are no comments allowed and only plays and tracking is the Tracker Forum for those posters who have over 300 posts. If you start a thread anywhere and try and track a capper, the thread will be open for replys and comments. The software doesn't allow otherwise. Many cappers choose not to provide a record. Why not just track the capper on your own off site. Are you trying to expose someone's record?

I have been tracking on my own. His promotions are misleading at the very least. I will just let it go, no big deal. It will catch up to him sooner than later. One positive thing about the guy is that he introduced me to this site. A lot of different forums here. I am still trying to navigate through it.

Thanks again,

Dan

Is he in the Site Promotions? If so, you can start a thread in there and track him.

You can e-mail me at oldmanted@therx.com if you'd like.
