Thank you, OMT, for this long answer.

Just two more things,

at which winning amounts do sportsbooks normally limit your wagers and

why do I have to wait for an admin till my post is on the screen? can you turn this off? :)

thanks

You're welcome. As to your latest questions, different books begin to limit your wagers depending on the type of wager and whether or not you are consistently beating them for large amounts. At 500 Euros, you shouldn't have any issues with limits unless you build that up and start playing significantly larger and win regularly. All books decide differently. I wouldn't worry about that right now.

As to your second question, when a newbie registers, we put them on Post Review until we get a sense of what they might post. We get a lot of spammers, etc. I have taken you off PR, so you're good to go.

Hey I have another question about baseball betting.

Why does the RL of the favorite pay at plus money some times?

To be honest, how the bookmakers exactly make the RL I am not certain. It is most likely because the RL puts a burden on the favorite, like a spread, to win by 2 runs or more. As you may have noticed as well, as the season gets deeper toward the playoffs, the favorites are more expensive now and the RL's are reflecting that change. A month ago, I had more plus money RL's. Now, I'm paying negative juice, small but still negative, in a number of plays.

Hello Old Man Ted, question about a site sponsor.

friend of mine brought a brochure over for Betonline. must admit i never heard of them. i stick with 5Dimes, Bookmaker and Youwager (hope it is okay to post the names...) So i checked them on SBR and they have an A-.

anyway, Betonline had a 35% bonus on $1K. sounds great. do you have any personal dealings with them or any info you can pass along?

i really like YW for the bonuses, but they don't carry lines on certain sports, most notably CBB Totals.

sorry if this post rambled at all. any info on Betonline would be appreciated. i just don't know how they are that good and i never heard of them.

I personally have an account with Betonline and highly recommend them. I put in two dimes and they gave me an extra 5% above the 45% bonus. I rolled it over 8 times with no problem. They are rated A- because they are rapidly becoming one of the better books around IMHO. They have an excellent menu of different types of wagers. Great customer service. Easy to make deposits. Payouts are not a problem. You will receive your payout between 2-10 days. Being a member of the RX, since they are one of our sponsors, should any issue arise, we can help you directly with them. I highly recommend you consider dropping Youwager and replacing it with Betonline. You won't be sorry believe me.

Thank you sir. 45% on two dimes, nice. i keep my plays between 1.5% and 3% of my bankroll, so an 8 time rollover might be take a while. also like to keep 2 or 3 books at a time. while i never have all my funds in one acct so i am not at the mercy of a bad HT line or a half pt the wrong way, but sreading it around limits how much at each, so two dimes is out for now.

i am already up and running with BM and YW, so it looks like Betonline will actually replace 5Dimes for the football season. not promoting YW, but last payout i got via FedEx in less than 24 hours. but is $35 worth the shortened time frame?

any additional sign-up bonus for using RX as my referred by when joining Betonline?

thank you for the speedy reply Old Man Ted.

as i disclosed in my first few posts, i am a "professional" capper. i didn't see anything in the rules about the contest, but i feel like honesty upfront is best. not that i have any advantage over people that don't get paid to cap, just feel like it may appear that way. one thing i want to avoid is being perceived as one of those folks that just jumps on sites to throw out wild claims in an effort to drum up business. i want to find a large forum where i can interact with fellow bettors and build a rep as an honest guy. just how big is this forum anyway? 5, 6 thousand members?

the contest sounds like fun, but i'll probably pass on it.

but i will be signing up with Betonline this week. thanks for the positive info on them RX folks.

stats, you are welcome to sign up for the contest, when you say you are a "professional" does that mean you sell picks or have a website?

If that is the case please remember, the only place you are allowed to post any links to your website or advertise your service in any way is in our site promotions forum:
http://www.therxforum.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=149

Known touts are not allowed to post in our forums but only in our site promotions room, if you want to be a regular poster, I suggest not mentioning or even hinting at your service as I noticed you did in your first few posts

Yes, sell plays and have a website. sent an e-mail to a mod, RobFunk, before i posted anything related to my business, but never got a reply. would rather not post any links to my site or advertise in anyway. my main goal was just to join a large forum and establish myself as not only a winning capper, but an honest one.

tout sounds dirty. is that just a designation used for all cappers, or is that a bad name? i completely understand RX's position as it relates to cappers, and will follow all rules and suggestions from Mods. please just advise me on the best course of action.

as i said, i sent an e-mail to a Mod. i would much rather spend my time at RX learning, teaching and winning than trying to recruit customers. so if given a choice, would rather be just another poster than a salesman.

now you have put us between a rock and a hard place, because our rules are that pros who charge can only post in site promotions:

Rx. Policy Regarding Professional Handicappers (Touts).

Most of you know that there are several professional handicappers (touts)
that post here in the Rx. sport forums. Until now we have allowed them to post if they did not use any
promotional material in their threads. After careful consideration and consultation The Rx. is going
dismiss any professional handicappers or touts from any of our sport Fourms.

Effective immediately all professional handicappers, by that I mean posters that charge for their picks
elsewhere will only be allowed to post plays or promotional materiel in the Site Promotions Forums.

Most notably included are Theerodfather and Kodiak7.

Please report any violations by either using the "contact us" icon.

All touts are entitled to their own threads, so please stay out of those threads if you have a problem with a particular tout. Any comments can be stated in a separate thread titled something like "Comments on So and So"..

You can also contact any Rx. moderator to report violations:

wilheim@therx.com
robfunk@therx.com
sportsavant@therx.com
OldmanTed@therx.com
Barman@therx.com
Hacheman@therx.com

Thank you, SS

SS:

you are not between a rock and a hard place. if i were to post as a normal poster while hiding the fact i'm a paid handicapper would be dishonest on my part and go against everything i am trying to do. it was never my intention to join and try to promote or sell my service.

i apologize for missing the policy regarding cappers. i more or less skimmed the rules and didn't see it. sorry for wasting your time. it appears my only option to remain here is in the purgatory reserved for the vile dogs that sell plays.

thank you for the info regarding RX and Betonline.

again, please accept my apology for any errors on my part. you guys have a great site here from what i can see in my short stay. sorry i cannot post in normal forums and completely understand and accept your policies.

Hi OMT,

I love this forum, has been a really knowledgeable forum on getting a second opinion for my picks and amazingly, I've become a baseball fan (I'm from Canada btw). Anyways, I noticed on the Baseball section of the forum, alot of the guys there will post their picks and then describe their picks with a number in decimals (i.e 0.6, 0.25, 0.5) just wonder what that is interpreted as and if you could give me an example for it as well. And finally, what does it mean when people say, "small, medium, upper medium, large" and how is that ranked? For units, every person has their own equivalence, it doesn't have to be 1 unit = 100. Thanks ahead for the answers
