Ive read online that blah blah blah they do more harm than good and all that stuff. But I don't see how taking them can actually be harmful to get some vitamins in your system that u may be missing out on. Im not looking to take them and be able to dunk a basketball because of it. just wondering if theres health benefits to taking them?

You take 3 twice a day

Unless you're pregnant, No...

I do like to take Omega 3s like fish oil and flax, though...

The Omega 3 fish oils is what you're looking for as far as heart. I don't worry about cost, I buy whatever brand is on sale, and they normally stay BOGO at my local grocery store...

I take fish oil, vitamin C, one a day, and probiotics. I don't eat a lot of veggies though. It's not going to make you ripped, nor is it magic. Of course it's better to get these nutrients naturally in the food you eat.

I personally feel Reservatrol, green tea extract, curcumin are good for you and should be taken by most adults every day; particularly males, but that does not excuse you from exercise, eating fresh fruits, veggies, lean meats, hydrating; and meditation regularly. Problem is that folks want to take vitamins and abuse themselves everywhere else; and that don't work...jmho, not medical advice; make up your own lifestyle...gl

i usually let up on staying in shape in the winter but this year i went completely insane and gained 50 lbs. my diet is good again but I've never taken any type of pills to stay in shape. so just looking to see if its worth adding to help with at minimum recovery after long runs or workouts

You really have to discover what works for you. I've been taking vitamins for years and rarely ever get sick. But that's just me.

are there no vitamins in these tho? there has to be SOMETHING that is good for you.

You just don't get what you really need from Multi vitamins ... it's like a Big Con job

just like a few guys talking about Fish Oil, question is ... what's better, Lovaza or Fish Oil from over the counter.
I think the Lovaza is better ... but that's my opinion

Fish oil is a scam. It does nothing and this is show in many studies. If people want to take it cause it makes them feel good and like they're taking an active role in improving their health, fine but it does nothing in reality.

There are 2 doctors in my family (both by marriage) literally one of them says they are a waste, the others says to take them.
I have read online that most vitamins are "synthetic" and our body can not absorb them so they just pass through our system.
I have also heard from some fairly healthy old folks who take vitamins daily and have been for 20+ years. And they are in great shape.
