Agreed. Kendrick is gonna have a .370 year before he is done playing. Maybe even better.

The kid is amazing and I can't believe it took this long for him to get discovered. We went to the same high school together and he took us deep into the playoffs every year he was there. I mean this is the same district that Chipper Jones came out of and I believe Papelbon as well. I guess since Howie didn't go to a pricey private school like those two though he fell through the cracks.

He has about as much chance of hitting .400 this year as you do of proving you've been a winner in baseball for the past 10 years.

I do not believe that anyone will hit .400, but Chipper is ripping the cover off of the ball right now and he is a very talented hitter. BTW the Braves will win the 2008 World Series

Dear Rx,

All of you are misguided, the real question is whether Chipper will hit .500 not .400.
This will surely happen as will the Hornets winning the NBA title, Reggie Bush actually fulfilling his hype (wait: that was Whormoan's Reggie-dar going off), as well as the Braves winning and LSU winning again.

Sincerely,
Homer Eytis

Love watching this guy hit. He will do this for sure, and Colston will catch 250 passes next year, Paul will average 37 and 16 to win the playoff MVP, Pierre Thomas will be the best back in the NFL, Lousianna Lafayette will win the college world series and have the best pitching staff in the country, Francouer will hit 74 jacks and win the MVP over Chipper who will end at 436 average, Smoltz wins cy young, Soriano the rolaids relief award, Esbobar a silver slugger, Chop will win the WVU challenge with his world class poker skills(even with the bluffing the side pot play used). LSU will go undefeated, and Andrew Jones will turn back into the best center fielder ever. Oh shit no he won't he plays for the Dodgers now.

Actually Chipper might have an edge as he will likely miss a bundle of games again making it less at bats needed to do it. Probably not fast enough to get enough infield hits. Would be cool to see him make a run at it, but amazing what a couple collars does to your average at this stage. Don't get too excited yet.

I like your thinking.

Speaking of UL LAFAYETTE. I may be coming to Omaha in a few months.

Going to miss most of the world series this year unfortunately. Going to New York and boston for a week to catch, REM, MY Morning Jacket, and two pearl jam shows, as well as a yankee game and a red sox game. Being a huge pearl jam fan couldn't pass on seeing them back to back nights at madison square garden. Never been to Yankee stadium either so perfect time to do it.

The guy is is still on fire.

Hitting .429 with more ABs now.

Would have to hit about .382 the rest of the season.

Guy is been hitting everything this season. Hitting .470 right now.
He is surely the top canidate for the batting title. .400 not out of reach.

He is now going from HOF probable, to HOF lock with his play the last 2 years.

why are u wasting your time with this when you can be giving out losing bets.:ohno:

Way too early to say he's got any chance at .400
But if he keeps it up like he's been going for another 30 games or so, the batting title is his to lose

Chipper has been the best hitter in the majors since about 2006, when he's not injured. Check the stats. Best AVG, SLG, OBP, OPS since 2006...if he were in Boston, NY, LA, he would be of A-Rod/Manny stature. He is just as good of a hitter as both of these guys, at least for the past couple years and this year.
